The Deputy Minister of Misinformation, Ablakwa

A deputy Minister of Information says reports of Militia groups springing up in the oil rich Cape Three Points in the Western Region of Ghana is not true and must therefore be discarded.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa told Joy News the reports are of no substance, adding “those who want to give credence to it just want to engage in unnecessary fear mongering.

What is unclear here about Ablakwa’s Information is that even though according to Ablakwa the residents in the area have quickly dismissed the story, THE SECURITY ANALYST Dr. KWESI ANING still insists the situation could even be worse and have cautioned national security to be vigilant.
A fisherman, Opanyin Mbere, was sure that his children had joined the group because they had seen and felt the atrocities meted out to them by the find of the Black Gold.

"Now when I go to sea I have no catch because all the fishes are attracted by the lights from the rigs; then we are told not to fish along the rigs, how should I feed my family, if the cause of my children can bring some hope, huh am in full support," Opayin Mbere noted.

The same Minister who recently renovated (only) his office for 380 Million Cedis is telling the Ghanaian people that, he stated “We are going to ensure that at the end of the day no politician or no leader of this country divert the people’s resources. That at the end of the day the oil wealth will significantly improve the living conditions of the people of Ghana and the people of Western Region.

Now where is the truth, is the Minister trying to throw dust?
Can we trust our Ministers and their Governance?
For what is the Deputy Minister of Information, Ablakwa, always holding 2 Mobile Phones, if he will “at the end of the day” misinform the Ghanaian people?
