Stop inciting innocent NDC members against Rawlings – Part 2

Former President Jerry John Rawlings Former President Jerry John Rawlings

When a snake enters a room, it causes panic but when it finally comes out in the open after being sprayed with chemicals and surrounded by many people, it is easily killed.

I was very surprised when I saw the NDC leaders inaugurating a 13 member committee headed by Dr. Kwesi Bolehway to probe the humiliating defeat of the NDC on 7th December 2016 and submit its report within 90 days. Fair enough, but I urge the committee members to start probing the NDC defeat right from the National Headquarters where some top executives disqualified several parliamentary candidates and put their favorites in those constituencies only for the NDC to lose to the NPP in those constituencies.

They should probe those executives who said serving DCES were not qualified to become parliamentary candidates but were only qualified to be DCE’s and further probe those who told that chief from Atebubu Amanten who came to the Headquarters to plead for the re-instatement of a DCE that was sacked without the knowledge of the president and he was given a check that the case of the DCE was not a chieftaincy affair and we lost that seat to the NPP again.

THE PRESIDENCY

We had a bunch of politicians who surrounded the then president and they could not identify a political disaster when they saw one be cause they blocked several people from meeting the president including this writer who booked appointments to see him 6 good times to no avail – I wrote official letters and posted to him personally by EMS to no avail – no acknowledgement until Hon. Alban Bagbin brought the big cat out of the bag when he said that he could not get access to the president as a majority leader in parliament.

I simply recoiled and forgot about all attempts to see him BUT NOW, I can easily see him since those around him has caused his defeat and he has now learnt a bitter and big lesson which is rather too late since everybody have ONE VOTE including all those who made it extremely impossible for one to see the then President Mahama. He did a very good job by working hard only for his trusted officials to mislead him and cause his downfall – more hope ahead in 2020 for sure.

THE PNDC ERA

During the revolutionary PNDC era, we even had very easy access to Flight Lt. J.J. Rawlings, then PNDC chairman of that no-nonsense revolutionary government, and when he became a civilian president too, from 1993 – 2000, we had the same access to him until he stepped down.

We had the same access to the late president Milles in 2010 which was too cumbersome, but it was just alright. Now, my own northern brother could never be seen because he surrounded himself with his staunch enemies unknowingly who he thought were his trust worthy officials and they became wood worms and broke the enviable presidential seat through their anti-people behavior and he became a one term president on the ticket of the NDC.

How sad. In a more organized level of high malice, we have seen in our country before, the spectacle of people banding together in politics to prevent good governance, for every call from the government party-the NDC for unity, they also make an opposing call indirectly to the people not to rally round the government and they try to make this negative behavior seen as the normal pattern of politics and this vividly reflected in the 11 seats in the upper west region where the NPP snatched 5 parliamentary seats out of the 11 seats which remained safe seats for the NDC since 1992, what went wrong? So many things went wrong – who says we should not point accusing fingers at some people? U lie, we will point accusing fingers at some people today, tomorrow, next tomorrow I mean, forever, until we call the negative people and the destructive infiltrators within the NDC to order became the NDC as a political party was NOT cut out from a tree.

You see, if you lie to a child, you have abused the minds of many generations to come, tell the Children the TRUTH, for it is the only way to set them free, however today 2017, the values of integrity and truth are no more in the great NDC except, deceit, lies, hatred, suspicion, destruction, backbiting and extreme greed, so why won’t we lost the 2016 elections – are we bigger than God? No.

TO THE NDC MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

We can never go back to the old days when the ordinary people were spectators and followers of leaders and had no right to participate in leadership, I mean, the days when rural communities were pinned down to the position of everlasting dependence on unfulfilled promises of politicians. The sardine and tinapa days of sweet tongued numbers of parliament are gone forever, and ever – Amen – as the electorate gave most NDC/Mp’s several warning shots at the polls on 7th December, 2016 for the NPP to win the election. On this note, let me congratulate his Excellency Nana All – die – be – die Addo Dankwa Williams Kwaku Akuffo Addo, Ghana’s 5th President and also Ghana’s first short president with a very tell name – may God bless myself first and the president second.

In conclusion former president J.J. Rawlings and John Dramani Mahama are not important, but our country – Ghana. Keep your fingers crossed, I shall return.
