“The Attorney General has asked an Accra Commercial Court hearing the writ filed
against NDC stalwart Alfred Woyome seven months ago for more time to study the case.
The Attorney General's Department was in court this morning over the payment of 42
million cedis judgment debt awarded to Mr. Woyome. In a related development, Deputy
Chief of Staff Alex Segbefia has been defending the payment of the 42 million cedis
to Mr. Woyome” (Ghanaweb Dec 22, 2011).

The say Mills spoke
Finally he did speak
Finally he spoke volumes
Like a frog forced out of water
Out of the Keta Sea
Out of the Paga Pond
Out of frustration
Mills croaked
Croaked against Woyome’s saga
The saga of Betty Mold’s sagacity
Molding fraudulent sagacity
But the Castle pond is still full
Full of croaking narratives

The seductive heat of warm cash
NDC’s pungently warm cash
Warm cash in the pocket of Woyome
Warned Mills’ worn-out heart
Ah! Mills’ moment of excellence
Ah! Mills’ moment of clarity
So Mills says investigate “Woyome”

And Segbefia says Mills go to hell
Mills calls into question “Woyome”
Segbefia summons all the answers

Why are we all silent
Goading on the Trojan horses
The Trojan Horses
In the Castle
At the Castle
Within the Castle
By the Castle
Atop the Castle
The School boys
Mills’ men of the river
Of that over-flooded river
Where Mills is paddled
Like a clueless wave
Paddled back and forth
Like a lost wave
Splashing all into debris
Why are we all silent

Time for NDC to save Mills
Time for all Ghanaians
To save Mills from himself
From his obscured self
Drowned
Swamped
Soaked in acid
Drenched in tasteless salt

Well Mills is his own sun
It is his shadow we see
Spineless shadow
The shadow of a hypocrite
Cast in Simpa Panyin
Supple as Fante dokono
Flooded by boys
Whose first jobs are Aides
Deputy Ministers
Chiefs of Staff
Castle Cooks
Castle Drivers
Castle Messengers
Castle Car Officials
Castle Go-Betweens
Castle Body Guards
Deputy Ministers
Spokespersons
Tema Port Representatives

Ah! Mills coughed
Discharged phlegmatic dart
Darted at the Attorney General
To reopen the case
To satisfy Ghanaians
Then comes another school boy
The gallant Alex Segbefia
The Deputy Aide
Contradicting Mills
Mill’s efforts to clean the pond
Of segregated fish
Salted fishes full of sand
That have swarmed the Castle pond
Whose cacophonous narratives
Have drowned the frogs of Osu
Have drowned Simpa Mills
The prophetic Adze pa
Adze pa that never was
