Rejoinder: Mrs. Akufo-Addo, watch your tongue

By Fadi Dabbousi

Each time the non-entities of the NDC try to camouflage their mental disability by scribbling incoherent bundles of misapplied vocabulary, they only serve to worsen their predicament that has exposed the baloney of their very foundations. Let me start by feeling sorry for the writer of the article that prompted this rejoinder. After all his poverty of morals and credibility brought him this low. His was about comparisons of personalities mixed with the venomous concoction of lies and deceit about the achievements of the incompetent first family, President John Dramani Mahama and his dictatorial wife, Madam Lordina Mahama, aka "Amaluka"

To say that Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP are afraid of John Mahama is like administering histamine to temporarily soothe the guts of the mediocre propagandists of the NDC. Where has John Mahama ever been efficient? In fact, his goofs have reeled more international shame to Ghana than have ever been experienced in the 59 years since independence. The travesty of governance exhibited by the government of John Mahama reeks of corruption of the highest order, quite unforgiveable if you asked me.
The list of theft and corruption that the NDC freaks stick their chest out with pride is endless. Here are a few instances: the Embraer aircrafts; the two million dollar aircraft hangar; isofoton; Gyeeda; Sada; Woyome; Chinese buses (invoiced to government at 4 times their original price); bus branding; gold bullions smuggled to Iran; 180 million dollars spent on Toyota landcruisers since the onset of the NDC governments in 2008 till date; World Cup fiasco and the 40 dollar kenkey; airlifting of 4.5 million dollars to Brazil to pay players with an excess of 4.5 million dollars that went to people's private pockets; the cocoa pesticides and fertilisers that are denied the farmers and sold on the open market by thieves in high places of authority; Dubai investments by John Mahama and his cronies; awarding of contract by John Mahama on a sole sourcing basis to West Blac and the chop chop derivatives as a result; Kojo Twum Boafo's multi-million dollar investments in the Middle and Far East; the 6 million dollar scandalous cost of one trip by the president to New York when he posed at CNN with a delegation of 60 thieves; the 250 million dollar booty deposited with UBA Bank; the Amerideal theft; the 10 million dollar diary scandal; the sale of the nation's properties.
The list can go on and on and on. The recent anti-corruption summit in the UK served to concretise the assertion that John Mahama and his NDC government are totally immersed in corruption. His discomfort during an interview gave him up. The BBC journalist asked him if he was offered a bribe before. In his attempt to escape the question he took a turn in his lying endeavour that prompted a second question from the journalist: "Mr President did you take it? Did you take the bribe?"

John Mahama asked, "As a President?" As a human being?"Shame! Then the NDC propagandists tickle themselves with lies trying to paint the picture of a first family that is so incompetent.

What was wrong with Mrs Akufo-Addo's criticism of John Mahama and his government? The whole nation is critical of them, and, actually, disappointed by their disorientation. Is she not a Ghanaian to also voice out her frustration over the iniquity of John Mahama, Lordina Mahama, and their group of charlatans? At least, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo (aka compassionate Auntie Beckie) is the wife of the most honoured person in Africa at this time. She is the wife of the most celebrated politician in Africa today. At least she is the wife of the person who gave the nation a second chance when he was disenfranchised in the 2012 elections. Other nations were not as fortunate, and that is an honour Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo can celebrate. At least she is the wife of the man who has never been implicated in any shady deal or acts of corruption in his life, unlike President John Mahama and his government.
Mrs Lordian Mahama was a petty vegetable oil trader working with loans from a now-defunct bank, yet she was dishing out 120,000 dollar Toyota Landcruisers during the 2012 campaign and beyond like she would give out undies to the hungry women that surround her. Where was that coming from? Her private pocket? Is that the achievement that the NDC propagandists are so proud about? Then being the HIV ambassador or whatever it was, is that something to be proud of? Was that not the instance that prompted the rumour that she was infected. I certainly hope that rumour is false, though. Tchai, GOD forbid! It became a well established revelation in the public domain that she bought her Master's degree, too. At least it became evident after her foly at a meeting of world first ladies in America that she pronounced "Amaluka". And she said, "I want to thank the peepor of Ameluka for....." What a shame!

Wish it or not, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo will follow her husband, Nana Akufo-Addo, proudly into the Jubilee House on January 7, 2017. And whether anyone likes it or not, she will be the best first lady ever with her style, fashion, eloquence, and compassion. She certainly will bring back honour to the degraded image of Ghanaian first ladyship.
