RE: Supreme Court cannot declare anybody president – Morna

I have just read a publication on Ghanaweb titled, "Supreme Court cannot declare anybody president –Morna". Subsequently, I feel obliged as a responsible citizen of Ghana, and a patriot of course, to publish a quick rebuttal to negate the havoc likely to be wreaked on unsuspecting Ghanaians by the views expressed therein. I will in the process reveal the nature of Bernard Morna and his entire ilk; how wicked, selfish, unknowledgeable, tribalistically illogical and educated illiterates they sound.

The said publication appears under Ghanaweb's General News of Saturday, 22 June 2013. Mr Bernard Morna, the General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has expressed his strongest view that the Supreme Court has no authority whatsoever to declare anybody the winner of the 2012 elections. At best, "what the court could do was to give recommendations, if any, to the Electoral Commission to implement, “But the court cannot reverse the decision of the EC and declare anybody the winner of the 2012 elections”, he said.

Is this not the same person who was a few weeks ago jubilating when the Supreme Court ruled a case in his favour? He had challenged the legality of clause CI 73B that compels the Supreme Court judges to sit 7/7 (sept sur sept) days including public holidays when they commence the hearing of Presidential election petition. The Supreme Court ruled it is illegal to sit on public holidays citing the Public Holiday Act. It was also ruled in his favour that any Supreme Court judgment pronounced on presidential election suit can be appealed. I do not want to discuss this as I have already published my views about it.

I want to inform the Ghanaian public that the Supreme Court has the authority to declare the winner of election 2012 consequent upon the overwhelming credibility of the evidence before them. What is the difference between the Court directing the Electoral Commission to declare Nana Akufo Addo the winner of election 2012 depending on their findings and ruling, and the Court telling the country that Nana Akufo Addo is the president-elect according to their evidentially-proven observation and investigations?

Bernard Morna is a rented agent for President Mahama and the NDC but he will fail in his tracks, as ignorant as he is. I understand he is pursuing Masters Degree in law yet, he is not conversant with the powers of the Supreme Court in democratic societies.

Another educated illiterate going by the name Dr Clement Apaak, had sillier things bordering on tribalism to say in defence of John Mahama, that clueless meat-eater-President. He said, "John Dramani Mahama, regardless of his ethnic background and tribe, also deserved to rule the country and that the president winning eight of the 10 regions was a manifestation that the electorate had confidence in the NDC and its candidate". Nobody is challenging the legitimacy or illegitimacy of President Mahama based on his tribal background but on how the election is collusively deemed rigged in his favour. Do not invoke tribal sentiments to court sympathy. That nonsense of first degree will not wash in this critical period of Ghana politics.

Further, Ghana practises universal adult suffrage and the existing rule is, whoever garners 50%+1 vote of the POPULAR votes cast wins the election. Therefore, from whence comes Dr Apaak's observation that Mahama winning eight out of the ten regions makes him an automatic winner even without winning majority of the popular votes?

I have not enough time on my hands today to educate Dr Apaak on the electoral processes in Ghana in relation to winning most of the popular votes cast and most of the regions. However, I shall refer him and my readers to an article I published on Ghanaweb under the Feature Articles of Friday, 4 January 2013 entitled, "Understanding the Relevance of winning the Presidency". I published this article when Kwesi Pratt raised similar silly observation. In the said article, one will see how Dr Apaak and his like-minded educated illiterates have been proved irredeemably wrong.

The NDC are losing the Court case hence, seeking the assistance of every Tom, Dick and Harry to come out to throw dust into our eyes. Their propaganda machine is collapsing at crescendo. If it is not Uncle Kwesi Pratt that they are using, it is, Morna, Amekudze, Kpegah, Asiedu Nketia, Alex Segbefia, Dr Apaak, Tarzan Wereko Brobbey or other NDC lowlifes.

God's revelation to Kofi Basoah is working. NPP and all discerning Ghanaians should keep up the pressure by staying RESOLUTE as admonished in my publications. Mahama is cracking and he will completely crack. The Pink Sheets will bury him alive! The whole world shall witness how bad it is for one to rig elections in the belief that he or she is an incumbent.

As THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, so is THE WAGES OF RIGGING ELECTIONS THE REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.
