RE: Nduom Is The Biggest Threat To The CPP

My attention has been drawn to a press release signed by a John Wood, as he claims, the Executive Coordinator of a CPP Sons and Daughters. I consider some of the comments he made as unfortunate, to say the least. I am however not in the least surprised that those psychopathic words came from a John Wood Jnr. I see John Wood Jnr as no more than a circus performer who is so predictable to the extent that sometimes he becomes boring. John Wood Jnr, readers, it should be noted is an alias of someone whose trade is only to sow seed of disunity and lifetime ambition was to become the propaganda secretary of Adolf Hitler. Normally I will not respond to the John Wood Jnr’s of our time but on this occasion I will make an exception to the rule and embark on an educational exercise to educate John’s ignorance.

Papa Kwesi Nduom unlike the John Woods (Executive Coordinator) joined this Party out of conviction, not because “daddy / mum” was a CPP member but because of what he believed it would do for our country. He has not wavered in that conviction hence his loyal membership for many years. Our party through its members in KEEA have put our trust in him before and he has repayed that trust with unstinting service and dedication to those constituents, to our Party and our country. Mention Nduom and the words you hear are KEEA, CPP, Achiever, isn’t that inspiring?

As a “born into” CPP you will surely like history, so let us embark on a little history trip, after the Second World War Europe was in ruins and it needed to rebuild itself, it took not only Europeans but Chiefly an American, General Marshall, (heard Marshall plan?) to rebuild Europe, by all account he was an outsider. After 19 years of P/NDC (mis)rule, where interest rate was over 45%, inflation was over 40% (I stand to be corrected) our foreign reserve was in the hundreds, most companies sold to the cronies of the regime, our country divided, companies collapsing, women being murdered left right centre, JSS educational system leaving behind many of its customers, Nduom did what Statesmen do, stood up to be counted. Patriots bleed when their country is wounded. He is a Patriot. As a CPP son your dad would have told you that Dr Nkrumah came to political prominence through the UGCC the parent party of the NPP, Otumfou Osei Tutu 1 served the Denkyiras but went on to become great leaders our country and the Ashanti Kingdom has ever produced respectively. I see a great Leader in Nduom. He is the biblical Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers and became the pillar of comfort. He is inspirational. I am like many people attracted to him by his smile of achievement.

He held key Ministries like Economic Planning, Energy, Public Sector Reform and also Chaired the National Development Planning Commission, you do not get to head these key positions if you are not Purposeful, Keen and a Nation Builder or have an exemplary record of Prudent Economic Management and oh indeed without peer among Africa and to a degree the world’s economic policy makers. At this point I would like to pay a tribute to Papa Kwesi Nduom in particular for his stewardship of the Ghanaian economy, for his voice and his vision have been indispensable to Ghana in maintaining Macroeconomic Stability and Economic Growth.
Today, many people are counting down to a CPP Congress, an activity to put it mildly that would have passed by without notice. There was a time when such an election would have been watched with anxiety by our friends and glee by our opponents; now it is an advertisement for CPP. What you should feel is nothing but pride. Thank you Paa Kwesi Nduom thank you Ladi Nylander for availing yourselves. The future rests with you.
John, there is a new PLANET called PROGRESS and its inhabitants (Citizens) are called forward looking and that is where most of us live, your only passport (no connection man needed) to get here is OBJECTIVITY and you can come with a train or plane but remember it should have NDUOM on it. Come so that together we celebrate a new Pride, Pride in our convictions, what we stand for and together we articulate our forward looking agenda, agenda of progress, the new Ghana agenda, a country with pride in itself because it has pride in its people. Come let us rebuild CPP and Ghana.
