The Queen of Kumawuman Rejects the Royalty of Barima Tweneboa Kodua in Her Recount of Kumawuman History

They agitate me so much. She requires a corrective retribution. In the light of the recent twisting of historical facts by the queen, I have decided to crawl back from my cave though painfully, and not as recharged as intended to challenge our dear queen to a contest of historical fact.

"The pot calling the kettle you are black". The damnable insolence of the queen of Kumawuman is way off the track. She seems to be getting mired in convulsive insults. She has insults on her breath; feeds on insults; spews insults, and deliberate in insults. What a fantastic insults lady she is. The last time I heard, she had won the competition of insults held at the "Kumawu Chief's park". She outwitted all her rival competitors to be crowned the "Queen of Insults". But is it smart to insult your elders, subjects and anyone you interact with, even your better half, one may ask? Such is the despicability of a person calling herself the only most civilized person among those lots she deems uncivilized hailing from Kumawu and her environs.

The queen is recently alleged to have said behind the back of some of the divisional chiefs, elders and the Aduana Clan Head (Abusuapanin) from the Ananangya Aduana royal house with a hail of insults, "look at the sort of dirty people in front of me who are aspiring to become the chief of Kumawu. If after eating your "nkontomire nkwan" (cabbage soup) and koobi (salted tilapia), and you have nothing else to do with your lives, you then proceed to my house to tell me you want to be the chief of Kumawu. Get lost! I will not give the paramount seat to you. I am repeating to you once more, "I am going to give the Kumawuhene seat to my son". What disrespect for her "Abusuapanin", let alone the subjects she disregards with passion? And the alluded son here is one Medical Doctor Sarfo, a person she thinks to easily manipulate in her dreamed stance to avail herself of the opportunity to dip her dirty hands into the accumulated compensation meant for Kumawuman by the government for the use of their land for the Volta river dam. Dr. Sarfo after blindly following the queen to visit some fetishes with their diabolical requests without success has now turned to a man of God near Kumasi for God's help. I am happy to see him make a directional change though; he will never get the people's nod to become the next chief to replace the late Barima Asumadu II.

She has rewritten the history of Kumawu giving undue pre-eminence to her "Ankaase" Royal House. She claims in her defence submission to the injunctive court summons that there is only, and only one royal Aduana House in Kumawu able to ascend the Kumawu paramount throne. And that royal house is the "Ankaase". She recounted her bizarre, corrupted, contradictory, and spiceably concocted history, attempting to throw dust into the eyes of historically-minded or knowledgeable persons like say, the Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, Honourable Yaw Baah who holds a Masters Degree in History. I will leave it to the historians like Honourable Yaw Baah who will laugh himself to tears, then go mental on hearing this childish, amateurish alteration and adulteration of Kumawu royalty history to rebuff her warped and clouded purported historical knowledge. This greedy woman who craves for fame and wealth will end up a repulsive crouched-pauper, for saying that Barima Tweneboa Kodua I, and his maternal lineage were not true royals but came to affiliate with the only genuine royals in which case, it is, the Ankaase royals. She further delves into her shallow well of historical knowledge only to come up with another blatant lie and crap. She claims the "Odumase" royal house have been cursed of never-to-rule Kumawu, for their ancestor-the-king found eating sumptuous beef soup and "fufu" when his peers and superiors were at battlefield in one of their Ashanti expansive wars.

This ancestor was alleged to have slaughtered the bull chained at "Kumawu papase" meant for sacrificing to appease the gods to solicit their guidance and backing in the then great Ashanti wars, to feed on it. Be that as it may, did it warrant a curse and banishment from ascendancy to the Kumawu paramount throne? Were the "Odumase" royals genuine enough to rule Kumawuman until the evocation of the curse? Why then the assertion that there was/is only one royal family able to ascend the paramountcy should she answer in the affirmative? Why is the Kumawuman stool bearing the name "Kodua & Okyere stool", if the renowned Barima Tweneboa Kodua and his lineage are not genuine royals? From which lineage or royal house came those names the stool bears? They were not from Ankaase, for this fact I know. Both of them belonged to the Ananangya royal house. Is anyone from the "Ankaase" royal house ready for disputation? I invite that person to a duel of knowledge on Kumawu history. Before then, whoever is willing to engage should answer this simple question; the "Ananangya", the "Ankaase", and the "Odumase" royal families, which of them first arrived at Apemso, now called Kumawu?

Is the confused hallucinating queen who claimed in her recent visit to Canada to hearing and seeing ghosts revealing to, and directing her as to who should be the next paramount chief when actually she had secretly taken one Dr. Sarfo to see the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to finalise their underhand corruptive arrangements, not an al Qaeda agent declaring "Fatwa" (Holy war) on the Odumase royal house? Were the Odumase royals forbidden or cursed never to ascend the paramountcy? There is a sea of difference in effectiveness between the two acts. If forbidden, then its effective implementation is to be ensured and supervised physically by people. But if cursed, irrespective of the number of gods invoked and those bearing witness, it should be the power within the gods to administer their own punishment should anyone violate them but not human beings making the unnecessary fuss as though they are Muslims protectively fighting to ensure their Holy Prophet's name goes unblemished. They have supernatural powers to exact punishment as deemed necessary, by themselves, without the need for feeble human machismo intervention. Therefore, I declare the "Odumase royals" fit to ascend the paramount throne regardless of any human nonsense. We are no longer living in the Dark Ages to kowtow or stoop too low to the nonsensical figment of untutored imagination where ineffectual curses and superstitions are allowed to take frightening predominance over us, standing in our way to prosperity. If the so-called stupid curse stands, the effect in itself will kill those violating it without any human intervention as our lady the queen wants to personally physically ensure the continuity of any such ancient utterance just to debar the rightful heirs from ascending the throne. They are more than fit to rule Kumawuman, for that I am more than certain and can bet my last cent on it. I today declare them whole, holy and fit, cleansing them of any human authored curse, to capably offer kingly stewardship to Kumawuman.

I don't desire at this point to divulge my in-depth knowledge about the origins of the Kumawu royal house(s). But I will touch in passing the origins of her very first true ancestor to land in Kumawu, the then Apemso if that will ring a bell or jug her memories to assist in getting her facts right. Who was "Ayoo", her matrilineal ancestor brought from Ejisu? What was she doing at Ejisu? I will not go any further than the two questions. As the late centenarian, Opanin Akwasi Amoako, said to a group of three students of which I was included, on one sunny afternoon when he had a red scarf hanging loose about his neck and taken a few tots of "akpeteshie", "I will have to stop narrating the history because of the respect I have for Nana Barima Otuo Acheampong or else, I will be damaging him should I tell the entirety of the origins of the Ankaase supposed royals", he said. This man had purchased a tuber of yam meant for appeasing his soul for not succumbing to the ill-intent of the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II, when he claimed Barima had shot at him, missing him by inches at his cottage's junction at Wonoo, at which time he, Akwasi Amoako, was a great founding member of the "yate asem" movement intended to destool Barima when he embezzled funds. We were seeing him off carrying his yam. The little he told about the Ankaase royalty was not genial. I will withhold his narration of why and how she was brought into the palace until the battle of nerves gets dirtier, which surely will as long as the queen cannot shut her chirping beak or chattering music box up. However, this fair coloured succulent damsel grew sparklingly prettier, catching the eyes of Nana Osei Yaw Akoto, the then Asantehene. As our chiefs can hardly take their eyes off beautiful ladies as usual, as though accursed, he married her, begetting "Yaa Mansah" and "Kwasi Dabo", who his father eventually manoeuvred to offer him the Kumawu paramount seat, for simply being his son, and he, being the Supreme King of the Ashanti Kingdom. What a corruption of the highest unpardonable degree? My friends the "Ankaase" royals should move at the speed of sound to destool this tomboy, a control freak of the highest detestable degree, before she causes irreparable damage to their course as royals. This unique psychological war being waged on who others may well call the devil incarnate, will in all certainty succeed. I am clipping her dampen wings bit by bit, throwing her into frustrative suicidal moods without actually intending the commit of suicide for her as it was the fate of her brother, Kwame Afram in Toronto, Canada, an abomination to befall a royal.

This is exactly the state of the queen as at writing. I have these few pertinent questions to ask the queen, the answers to which will help clear the doubt in everyone's mind, bringing about the needed calm to Kumawuman.

* How are the "Ankaase" royals related to Barima Tweneboa Kodua?

*In what strength is this relation as against the "Ananangya" royals who claim direct matrilineal descent? * Who also were Kodua Kokoo and Kodua Tumtum, and from which Royal House(s) did they come?

* How did the Kumawu chieftain earn "BARIMA", the majestic accolade ever since used by all subsequent Kumawuman chiefs?
