Please Cease Fire Hon. Avoka and Mr. Ndebugri

“When two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers”, that says an old adage.

It is an undeniable fact that Hon. Cletus Avoka and Mr. John Ndebugri are distinguished and well respected personalities and politicians in Ghana in general and the North in particular. As both Kussasis, Hon. Avoka and Mr. Ndebugri are no doubt (blood) brothers who can bring their huge influence to bear on our people in the northern hemisphere. I believe that if these two distinguished politicians and all of us pull our resources, strength, and ideas together, it will go a long way to develop our area, reduce poverty that has impoverish our people since the colonial era, for the benefit of our people and Ghana for that matter. These two personalities are role models to many people from the north and they must behave as such.

It is upon the above conviction that I deem it necessary to appeal to my senior brothers to cease fire and work together for the common good of our people. Accusations and counter accusations by these two political giants from will not help us but be of great disservice to our people and retard our development efforts a lot more than ever before; for it is said “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”.

Even though Hon. Avoka and Mr. Ndebugri belong to two different political parties with different ideologies, this does not make them enemies. After all both political entities are working for the common good of the people but just how to achieve this is what differs. You are therefore still brothers with common goals like poverty reduction, development etc. You are brothers with common destiny.

I am also calling on our chiefs, Queen Mothers, opinion leaders and other well meaning Kussasis to call on my senior brothers to bury the hatchet and work together for the common good of not only the Kussasis but the North and Mother Ghana.

Hon. Avoka and Mr. Ndebugri, you are our role models, please lead and lets follow you, inspire us, let us aspire to be like you and show us the path so we can take over from you where you left it. Be our HEROES! Be our MENTORS!

United we stand, divided we fall!

This is a humble appeal from your kid brother,
