It is an insult to the intelligence of our grassroots to watch the very people who crippled the Nana Addo–Bawumia government now parade themselves as presidential materials.
These were the same individuals who hoarded resources meant for the base of the party, shortchanged farmers by failing to supply fertiliser under government contracts, and pocketed electrification funds while villages remained in darkness.
Their agenda was not to serve the people but to serve their self-interest and amass wealth.
These are people who starved the grassroots and are now throwing crumbs of the big cake they took, pretending to care, only to promote their selfish interests once again.
With shameless arrogance, they mount platforms pretending to be the saviors of the party.
But I know the grassroots are not fools. They know who worked and who only looted.
Betrayal cannot be disguised as leadership.
When they come to you campaigning, let us not forget how their actions deprived us of getting the needed fertilisers for our crops in the farms, let us not forget how they kept us in darkness for failing to carry out various rural electrification projects.
Leadership is not about who can shout the loudest from the platform, nor about who can amass the most resources.
It is about trust, consistency, sacrifice, and accountability.
If we are serious about building a stronger party and delivering lasting development to Ghana, then we must reject opportunism in all its forms.
Our future cannot be entrusted to those who only remember the grassroots when they need votes to promote their self-centered agenda.
This is why Dr Mahamudu Bawumia remains the only hope for our party.
Unlike the opportunists, he has consistently stood by the vision of the government, championing digital transformation, financial inclusion, and bold policies that touch the lives of ordinary Ghanaians.
He has never sought to sabotage the system for personal gain, nor has he abandoned the grassroots in pursuit of contracts.
Instead, his track record shows loyalty, discipline, and an unwavering belief in the potential of this nation.
Dr Bawumia represents continuity without compromise, innovation without opportunism, and leadership rooted in service rather than self-interest.
At this critical juncture, when opportunists seek to hijack the party for their own ambitions, we must rally behind the one leader whose integrity and vision remain unshaken.
Opportunists cannot be the future of our party. The future lies in trusted, tested, and forward-looking leadership.
That future is Dr Bawumia.
