It is a sad day in Ghana when the government of Ghana shows no interest in finding out what happened to its citizens.

Yes these brothers and sisters were embarking on a journey that most people consider illegal but that does not justify their brutal murder. This government continues to show insensitivity towards its citizens with the kind of attitude that makes you understand that it does not care about the well been of its citizens.

If the government can not bring the people who killed the Ya Na to book, and that a whole party chief died at the hands of the security forces in Ghana leaves one to understand that this government know nothing about human rights and justices.

Ghana needed to show to the African community that its citizens are its primary assets and that any acts of brutality towards them would not be tolerated. . Author: kudjo (paris) Date: 2006-07-25 20:46:49

i was at a ghacif meeting. The annoucment c&me that we should help contribute to the black stars who qualified for the world cup.well there is nothing wrong to help our nation in such a time like that. i therefore said if The President protects ghanaians then we can also help to contribute to our footbal team. The irony is that Ever since i came to france , ghanaians are deported without thier belongings and money ,the money remains at the banks or at the post offices. The ghana mission in france does nothing about it. it is a very said case once again to hear that the ghana government is doing nothing to protect the dead citizens of ghana in gambia not even to give them justice.it is always the same sort of people who struggle to make it ends up feeding months and even to the extend helps to improve the economy through the currency that they bring in i want to give an example, a ghanaian in togo goes through bad experinces at the hands of the togolaise but a togolaise in ghana would be protected as if the country belongs to him. something has to be done. Brothers and sisters lets us put our heads together to change the course of history

The President can take 84 pleasure trips around the world but cannot preasure a tiny Banana Republic like the Gambia to account for Ghanaian citizens they murdered. It is very strange to see President Kufour acting like a Toothless Bull Dog wagging its tail infront of a nonentity Gambian president. It was more than a year ago that the Foreign Minister mr. Akuffo-Addo Danquah assured Ghanaians that the Gambian authorities have promised to tell them the whereabouts of those Ghanaian citizens after their investigations. How long more should Ghana wait to hear from the Gambian authorities? Mr.Kufour,it seems every country had seen where your priorities lie ie. travelling and do not take your words serious anymore.

The government should make sure that the issue under the killing of Ghanaians should not be left out, if they know there are still alived why then handed over to the Ghanaian youth at Gambia. Prenset should take it serious to get solution to the problem.

I wonder how a government which was able to exhumed the bones of 20 year old embezzlers to their families, can't do anything about this situation. Pls. NPP act its a big shame to you. Author: Addodo Date: 2006-07-27 15:47:59

I will not comment on the barbaric behaviour of the Gambian Security agency because they kill their own men the same way they slaughtered our Brothers. Our Government is busy looking for every means possible to put well and able men and women who in one way or the other has risk their dear lives in serving Mother Ghana. Kuffour remember that your time will come when Ghanaian will seek for your soul.

There's no money $$$ in Gambia, that is why JAK has never bothered going there, otherwise he would have begged for a state visit to cash in on the trip and pretend its for the goodwill of Ghanaian killed there
