Of What Value is Your Respect, Cretin-of-California?

I hope he is not going around passing himself off as one of the rarefied paragons of the globally celebrated hospitable and cultured Ghanaian, leader and led alike. I am, of course, talking about the Idiot-of-Irmo, South Carolina, recently morphed into the Cretin-of-California. He probably moved to the Golden State as a result of having had his medical-practice license either “indefinitely” suspended or altogether revoked for fraud. He is darn lucky some Good-Samaritan decided to take his hit and fall. He has always acted as if he was cocksure of his superiority over Nana Akufo-Addo; and so it is not clear what he means or is talking about when the Cretin-of-California says that he has lost all respect for the three-time Presidential Candidate of the country’s main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) – (See “I’ve Lost Respect for Nana Addo…” Modernghana.com 12/11/15).

How could this urchin have lost something he never possessed, to begin with? The fact of the matter is that the Cretin-of-California has been caught butt-naked with his pants down, hung and all. He also knows he absolutely has no credibility whatsoever; and so he can only ineffectually huff and puff and hope that there are a few naïve ones out there who could still be taken in by his farcical antics.

Well, the Cretin-of-California says that Nana Akufo-Addo has not shown any worthwhile leadership over the past year, during which period the New Patriotic Party has been wracked by “internal bickering.” I suppose what the Atwima-Mafia Flight-Lieutenant (profuse apologies to Chairman Jerry John Rawlings) means by “internal bickering” is the brutal acid-dousing assassination of Mr. Adams Mahama, then-Upper-East Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, by operatives from his faction of the party. We need to also quickly add to the foregoing the savage stabbing death of Mr. Abubakar Saddiq at Kumasi-Asawase.

Once again, the fact of the matter is that Nana Akufo-Addo has been leader and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party for some 7 years now, and so the Cretin-of-California would do his completely eviscerated credibility some good by informing the world about the remaining 6 years of Akufo-Addo’s leadership of the New Patriotic Party, during which period there was presumably no “internal bickering.” And then also, just precisely what triggered the sort of “internal bickering” that the Cretin-of-California is talking about? And specifically who are responsible for such “internal bickering”?

The sad and tragic reality is that the father of the Cretin-of-California does not appear to have possessed any iota of respect for himself, let alone think and talk of imparting any remarkable modicum of respect for others, which attitudinal lack he clearly appears to have passed onto his son. I mean, what self-respecting and civilized Ghanaian citizen of any ethnicity would birth and give the surname of a total stranger to his offspring?

The truth of the matter is that ever since he set foot on this Earth, the Cretin-of-California has been bereft of common sense and self-respect. His is an irreparably alienated soul. It may even be genetic, if one ponders the matter more closely and seriously. Indeed, when he opines that: “I do not think he [Nana Akufo-Addo] is a respectful democratic leader,” what the Cretin-of-California really mean to say is that “Nana Akufo-Addo is not a respectable democratic leader.” The irony here is that the Cretin-of-California served as Nana Akufo-Addo’s paid Presidential Campaign Communications Director for a considerable while, knowing fully well that Ghana’s former Foreign Minister was “not a respectable leader.” Talk of credibility gap!

The fact of the matter, though, is that the Cretin-of-California is implacably miffed by Nana Akufo-Addo’s publicly expressed acutely low tolerance for moles and treasure-hunting political opportunists like this self-proclaimed inveterate hater of the man who largely made him the sardonically self-important public figure he claims to be today. But that the Cretin-of-California once studiously and servilely served Nana Akufo-Addo with canine humility is what makes the former’s talk about the precious value of his respect for anybody all the more risible and comical. The fact of the matter is that the Cretin-of-California is morally and psychologically naked to the bone!
