NPP's Dirty Tricks to Devalue the Ghana Cedi

Early 2009, no sooner did the NPP lose the three-round election did they start withdrawing all remnants of moneys amassed over the Kuffour era “nyama-nyama” to keep at home and/or transfer abroad (all in dollars, the most widely accepted currency the world over) into their offshore bank accounts.

And because the members and sympathizers/collaborators of this nepotistic-tribalistic-neo-colonialistic junta estimated to have collectively and looted well over 5 billion American dollars (a charitable tag) over the course of the Kuffour semi-dictatorial regime, through the most sophisticated means of financial chicanery that were just all too clever and too criminally advanced for the national legal system to decipher or unravel, the Ghana Cedi, (the Kuffour Dollar, as it is fondly referred to as in the locals mockery of the ill-conceived policy to round-off four zeros to equate the Cedi to the US Dollar –if only it was that easy) took a nose dive from Ghc1.25 to the US dollar to Ghc1.52 by September 2009.

But by September 2009, the able and competent economic team of the Mills Administration/NDC government was able to put prudent measures in place to, not only arrest the free-fall, but the trend was reversed much to the extent that the Ghana Cedi was stabilized at 1.42 for a good part of three years.

That not withstanding, it is 2012, another election year has already dawn on us, and lo and behold, the ugly machinations of the Non Patriotic Peoples party has reared its ugly head as they trip over themselves to make political capital of it.

The word that I have been getting is that NPP business folks are going to he banks to demand dollars and turn around to spend those dollars instead of the cedi even for local purchases or business transactions.

So this phenomenon is creating more demand for dollars much like the old days when people were allowed to make business transactions in dollars until that practice was halted and regulated.

See, these NPP criminals do not have Ghana at heart. They would anything to undermine the betterment our dear nation to their advantage.

People should expect the rate to drop to Ghc2=$1 by the election time because NPP is going to use it as a campaign topic. When the currency was strong, they were all quiet and fail to acknowledge it. They have now devised ways, with help from their European counterparts of course, to devalue our currency. They lie bad!!!

It would be recalled in the book or memoirs, OrangeMan in Togoland and other Stories, by the former UK Consul, Graig Murray confessed of how the UK government clandestinely or, rather diabolically, helped J A Kuffour and the NPP to win the year 2000 Elections.

He categorically stated that with the help of his office or the British Counsel, they made sure that the Ghanaian currency devalued by a hundred percent and the Rawlings government then did not have the vaguest clue of what was going on, for no matter what they did, the currency was still free-falling.

But the plan worked and worked beautifully, for at the end, the worthless, diabolic NPP won the election and he was the first to share a multiple shots of whiskey, Chevas Regal, to be exact, with the then President -elect J A Kuffour.

As though that was not the last of the victory celebration, Craig Murray, who later lost his job with the British Counsel/Embassy, and fell on hard times financially, was granted a whopping $50 million dollar contract to supply two generators to the Ministry of Energy.

Even Kwadwo Mpiani, the most powerful chief of staff in the history of chiefs of staff, unknowingly admitted to this grand theft of the state, as he was so shocked of the revelation of this confidential information/back door deal/sweet deal, chastised Craig Murray for being "an ingrate, for someone who came to the castle on the verge of having a breakdown, no occupation and a pregnant wife, they came to the his rescue when, and this is how he thanks us?"

THAT IS HOW IT WORKS, MY FRIENDS!!!!

If they can do it to Zimbabwe, until Mugabe had to abandon the local currency for the US dollar, Ghana's experiment would be effortless, as easy as a press of a button, as easy as koko (local porridge/pudding).

VOTE NDC REGARDLESS WHAT!!!!

VOTE FOR A BETTER GHANA

NOT FOR TRIBAL WARFARE NOT FOR NEO-COLONIALISM ALL OVER AGAIN NOT FOR GENOCIDE NOT FOR AKAN HEGEMONY NOT FOR CORRUPTION
