NPP is worse in politics of Ethnicity.

I read with shock that a so called Aide to the Presidential candidate of the NPP Abu Jinapor, has described comments attributed to President John Mahama as reckless and irresponsible. The president is alleged to have made some ethnic comments during a recent campaign in the Northern part of Ghana. "I don’t find this statement irresponsible. I find it reckless and dangerous to the unity and future of this country," Abu Jinapor said.

President Mahama, in an address to the chiefs and people of Zualerigu in the Upper East Region is reported to have said “our brother Aliu Mahama was Vice President for 8 years. I was Vice President for three and half years. For almost 12 years, we have tasted Vice Presidency. It’s no longer exciting. It’s no longer what we want.”

It is also reported the President said if the NPP wants votes from the Northern part of the country, then they should put up Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as their flagbearer to face-off with him.

Abu Jinapor has only exposed his hypocrisy, a character trait that is prevalent in his family. He has only exposed himself as boot-licker and a sycophant who will do anything to get attention from Nana Akufo-Addo. Yes we know Nana Akufo sent him to the Ghana Law School though he had a bad class from the University and payed his fees till he completed. But is that the way to support Nana Akufo-Addo by stabbing the President at the back?

Is Abu Jinapor aware that there is a cold war between President Mahama and the King of Gonjas because of a perceived meddling in the Buipe chieftaincy dispute by the President. The King of Gonjas is so displeased with President Mahama for an alleged interference in the Buipe chieftaincy dispute and has not only publicly asked his people to vote against President Mahama but has issued a statement saying he has not asked any Gonja to vote for President Mahama. Is the sacked Buipewura not the father of he Abu Jinapor? Has he asked his father why the King of Gonjas sacked his father as chief of Buipe? Maybe "like father, like son"

Yes, the President asked his Northern brothers to vote for him. What is wrong with that? Why is it right for Akuffo-Addo to say "Yen Akanfuo" but wrong for President Mahama to tell Bimoba's to vote for him? Why is it right for Bawumia to say that President Mahama is not a true Northerner because he is not Muslim, or for Bamba to say that Muslims should not vote for NDC because President Mahama is a Christian, but wrong for President Mahama to ask for votes from his Northern brothers.

On any given day, I will choose President Mahama over Nana Akuffo Addo. That does not make me someone peddling ethnicity. We all saw the Presidential debate. Both President Mahama and Dr. Sakara outperformed Abu Jinapors all-knowing Akuffo Addo. On issues, President Mahama beats Nana Akufo-Addo. So Abu Jinapor should tell me why I should not ask my brothers and sisters to vote for President Mahama?

We live in this country for the past six months and have realised how the political temperature has suddenly changed based on ethnocentric pronouncements from NPP members. It is very fresh in my memory but not quite sure of others like Abu Jinapor when Nana Akufu-Addo made an ethnic remarks that, "Yen Akan fuo" repeatedly on several platforms with impunity. As if that is not enough, the Assin north MP, "super Ken" as he calls himself was captured on record having said Akans should slay Ewes and Gas, which comments he is battling in court for charges unprecedentedly leveled against him.

I read elsewhere Abu Jinapor is cunning and smart and has so many ways of working to please people or working against people. Was he not an NDC member? This same Abu Jinapor was accused by Twum Boafo , the Chief Executive of the Free Zones Board of taking money from him and also moving from NDC appointee to the other taking money.

His nemesis will surely catch up with him one day. Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP will surely regret soon for ever accepting the fake support of this ingrate.
