NDC’s repugnance against Ghanaian Muslims

Exclusive discovery of NDC’s repugnance against Ghanaian Muslims – NASARA, US

This is not about politics. This is about the extreme conceivable hate one could harbor against a religion and its people in the name of politics. Every civilized society frowns upon gratuitous comment born out of prejudice.

God makes a leader, mankind never!

Ghanacan boast of well educated, renowned, and elitists Muslims – if given the chance, can provide a “better Ghana.” No one can dwarf the dreams of Northerners/Muslims in Ghana by downplaying our capabilities.

Now, Ghanaians (through Wikileaks) have learnt how the NDC perceive the Muslims in Ghana.

The sentimental revelation that has emerged from the Wikileaks is highly distasteful. Whiles Fiifi Kwetey, the then propaganda secretary, was fiercely taking former Kufour’s administration to cleaners; he was simultaneously washing piles of dirty linen of Ghanaian Muslims in the washing machine of America’s embassy. Now, Wikileaks has shined its lights on the truth. He was “bold” to amplify the party’s position against Ghanaian Muslims. The stench emitting from the opened Pandora box horribly stinks. His quality cannot engross us purely and universally. The uncontrollable pride in him leads him on. He failed to realize that his opinion upon Ghanaian Muslims is also a confession of his character. According to him,“While most Ghanaians would not admit this openly, a Muslim could not be elected President of Ghana.”

We are in solemn agreement that Ghana is a secular nation. Nowhere in our constitution prohibits a Muslim to be the president. Now, Wikileaks has leaked the sheer wickedness of the NDC.

Fiifi Kwetey in his recent defense over the indefensible arrogantly maintained that: “The NDC will in the future again have no hesitation opting for running mates with impeccable political pedigree who also happen to be very good Muslims.” Muslims don’t deserve the flag bearer slot. We all know from history that former President Rawlings – in the era of the P(NDC) – impregnated his government with a particular group of people from the country. Make no mistake: The Northerners/Muslims found in that administration was bait and a mere flower bouquet – and to woo Northerners/Muslims votes for the party.

Sam Pee Yalley, a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), also added to the pile of laundry with the party’s style of vituperation comment. He said that Nima – the most populous Muslim community in Ghana – is a “trap” to the newly built edifice of the president. That is the only reason why President Mills is refusing to use it. This is a nauseating comment – that is melting on a high temperature in Nima and among other Ghanaian Muslim communities home and abroad, – the Mills-led government is playing voyeurism with it. This is the same place the NDC party and its presidential candidates love to go to seek for votes. Have we considered the geographical locations of White House and No. 10 in their respective countries, Britain and US? Technically, the president still works from there (the presence of Ministry of Finance and others). The NDC has strong ill feelings against the Northerners/Muslims but keep a nice face.

You are what you say you are.

Situating the Jubilee/Flagstaff on the Asanfra Street on the platinum section of Regimanuel Grey Estates would have been safer for President Atta Mills. One has a vivid enough imagination to imagine how the latest developments has diminished the image of Nima, and has put the people in an awkward spectacle.

Since 1992, the NDC political party has being using Nima to gain political power but neglect them after assuming power. Are we rags?

Ghanaian Muslims have proven their salt in all diverse way, and have greatly played a significant role by giving their strengths towards our nation building. Such an unpalatable pronouncement is pure prejudice that is highly condemnable – and highly monstrous wickedness. The NDC government has added up to the already torturous suffering the taxpaying Muslim people are already going through.

Is Ghana an amoral society?

On the table now is the long-hidden cards of hate; Northerners/Muslims will also do their best to play it well – Insha Allah! Let us make things straight here, the Muslim people are not political demimondes as the NDC political party portrays to the world. The people received the recent news with withdrawn faces. NDC political party believes that it can fool the people too much of the time. Their false affection for us is now naked for all to see. We have discovered the strong hate the NDC has against the Muslim people and their communities. The political party has wasted its political life in attempts to display qualities it does not possess. The people can now imagine their true enemy. They have met others (the NDC) not as good as they are, they will look within and examine themselves.

Yes. The NDC used the Muslim people to win the 2008 elections, but finality is not the language of politics. They are alerted, yet good-hearted Muslims flock to this political party. The then NDC in their mad rush for political power threw the SADA dust into the eyes of the Northerners, the three most populated Muslim regions in Ghana. The seed money of $200million and an annual allocation of $100million from the SADA have not seen the light of the day – this is an obvious political assault on the integrity of our people.

If today, the most powerful country in the world, US, could elect a black man to lead, similar political fashion will happen live in Ghana. Whatever diabolic plans the bad politicians have at the back of their mind against the Ghanaian Muslims, we will still triumph in Ghana.
