Mr Mahama, you are still the President, don't forget

President John Mahama President John Mahama

There is no denying the fact that some few miscreants NPP supporters have taken it upon themselves to settle up political scores with some NDC supporters and some of us the NPP staunch supporters have come out to condemn such behavior.

Since the news came out that there have been some uncalled for attacks on our brothers and sisters in Ndc by some Npp supporters, our leaders, including the President elect, Nana Akuffo Addo, Our General Secretary, John Boadu, Nana Akomeah and others have come out to condemn it and have appealed to these people to stop attacking our brothers and sisters in NDC.

President Mahama continue to appeal to Nana Akuffo Addo to warn his supporters to stop their attack on his party members. I do agree with the President for the first appeal but his continuous appeal is not a show of leadership.

Nana Akuffo Addo will not become the President of Ghana until he is sworn in on January 7, 2017 so he has no Executive powers to tell the Police to start arresting these people seizing toll booth and beating people but you Mr Mahama is still the President so tell your Police Force to do their job by maintaining the peace in the country and stop asking Me Akuffo Addo to do your job for you, Sir, you are still the President until January 7,2017, don't forget.

I do understand why some of these supporters want to extract their pound of flesh on these Ndc members for what they did to some Npp supporters in 2008, some of whom lost their lives including some Npp supporters killed including two Npp members murdered at Agbobloshi market in Accra.

It is still fresh in our minds how Anita Desoso, the NFC Women Organizer at that time ran her truck over Npp supporters at Atiwa in Eastern region maiming them and nothing happened to her, not even asked to write her statement at the Police station because of her position in the ruling party.

Despite all these crimes perpetrated on Npp members without anybody arrested for these crimes, we should learn to forgive, though not to forget so that we all can live in peace. We should not forget that Ndc can come back to power and we don't to go through the circle of violence again, let's peace reign.
