Letter From The President: Articulator Murders

Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents,

I?ve been appalled by the recent spate of deaths on our roads caused by articulator trucks. I wonder why the Motor Traffic Unit, the National Road Safety Commission and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority have not done or said anything about these ?articulator murders?. I suppose that they are waiting for someone like me to raise the issue before they act. OK. Here we go?
Since the beginning of this year, dozens of our citizens have died as a result of the recklessness and sheer stupidity of articulator drivers. Let me give you a few examples. A couple of months ago, we all woke up one morning to hear about the tragic death of Alfred Kofi Appiah. He was our country?s most prominent children?s right activist and he was doing what he could to improve the lot of the impoverished children of Sikaman. Unfortunately, on a return journey from his hometown, he run his car into an articulator truck, whose driver had foolishly parked right in the middle of the highway with no warning signs. A few days before Mr. Appiah?s untimely demise, a certain man who was traveling with his wife and kids run into an articulator truck on that same stretch of the Accra-Ho highway. The whole family perished.
