Lekma patriots endorse Solomon Borketey Bortey (BBS) for MCE

We wish to congratulate his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, the President of Ghana, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the Vice President of Ghana and the entire Elephant Fraternity on our triumph in the 2016 general elections. It is our prayer that the Almighty grants you wisdom to run the affairs of this nation to the benefit of the people of Ghana and the unborn generations.

LEKMA Patriots, a group which consist of concern members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has overwhelmingly endorsed the candidature of Mr. Solomon Borketey Bortey, an astute businessman for the position of the Municipal Chief Executive Officer for the Ledzokuku,Krowor Municipality (LEKMA).

We the above association has combed the municipality and have identified Mr Solomon Borketey Bortey popularly called BBS as the ideal man to lead the municipality and propagate the works,policies and the manifesto of his excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia .

Mr. Solomon Borketey Bortey needs no introduction in the NPP corridors. He contested the parliamentary primaries of the party towards the run up of the 2016 election and lost to Elizabeth Afoley Quaye in the Krowor constituency who eventually won the parliamentary elections in December 2016.

But that did not deter him from his support to the party. He aided the party with resources and other logistics which helped the party in annexing the seat from the NDC which they have occupied for the past eight (8) years. His support for the party has not been in doubt over the years and we are witnesses to his engagement through the eight(8) years in opposition.

As an astute businessman and a graduate from the Graduate School of Leadership and Governance (GSLG),he has created jobs on his own for the youth of LEKMA and his exploits have never be contested in the municipality. He is the Chief Executive Officer of BBS Pharmaceutical limited, which deals in wholesale and retailing of pharmaceutical products as well as imports and exports of some products in Africa and India.

Mr Solomon Borketey Bortey involvement inthe victory of our great party is evident in all quarters. He is credited for the unification and reorganisation of the party structures in Krowor and the youth have already signalled their readiness to work with him to achieve President Akufo Addo’s visions.

That notwithstanding, the traditional rulers have fully pledged their support for the astute businessman and they are ready to support in their capacity to help realised the visions of the party in the municipality. Even before assuming the office of the MCE, Mr.Solomon Borketey Bortey has bought into the idea of the flagship ‘One District , One Factory ‘ idea and he has courted investors who would be coming to the country to assess the factory possibilities in LEKMA.

From the above however, the concern Patriots believe that Mr. Solomon Borketey Bortey understand the current political,socio-economic and business situation in LEKMA and he is abreast with the party structures and the demands of the grassroots. As a party man, Mr Solomon Borketey Bortey was on the forefront of the battle for power and it will be suicidal to bypass him for another person.

We therefore plead with his Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo and Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the party hierarchy to appoint Mr. Solomon Borketey Bortey as the Municipal Chief Executive of LEKMA to propagate the ideals,policies and visions of the Party.

Long live His Excellency Nana Addo Long live Vice President Dr.Bawumia Long live the NPP Long live LEKMA Long live Ghana.
