Kumawuhemaa Loves Money and Power

– Whoever pays her Expenses so far Incurred gets the Throne.

Until when will the fool learn to be wise by casting off his cloak of foolishness?
"He who does not know, and knows not that he does not know is a fool" so a saying
goes. Greediness does not only rob a person of their wisdom but renders them fools
in the eyes of discerning people. Selfishness is like a chronic disease that
deprives one of their God-endowed self-esteem. Selfish people are myopic, they
believe in the philosophy of all for me but nothing for others. In the end, they
find themselves inextricably cocooned in derision, disgrace and shunned by many.

Kumawuhemaa and some Kumawu sub-chiefs by the extension of their nefarious
activities have unfortunately come to find themselves in the fool's paradise. And
being like old dogs that find it difficult to learn new tricks, they are not only
mired in their deplorable acts but are complicating the situation. The more they try
to be smart, the worse they turn out to be, portraying how less intelligent they
are.

It is on record that Kumawuhemaa connived with the Kumawu Kontrihene to dupe
Kumawuman. They tricked the Saanahene and the Saamaahene to withdraw the entire
money possessed by the Kumawu Traditional Council from her accounts with the Kumawu
Rural Bank just after the burial of the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II. Although my
investigations did reveal that Saanahene Kwame Tawiah, an innocent gentleman but
totally a softie, engaged Kumawuhemaa in a bitter argument when she had sought to
wrench the money out of his hands, he finally succumbed under the weight of her
fraudulent scheme.

The Ohemaa had told Saanahene that Kumawuman owes her 400 Million Cedis out of the
864.6 Million Cedis withdrawn from the Bank. When she was challenged, she asked
Saanahene to phone up one Senkyire from Kumawu-Temaate but resident in Accra if she
was not actually owed the quoted sum of money by Kumawu Traditional Council. After
it was confirmed over the phone by Senkyire that she was owed that money, Saanahene
and Saamahene quickly released the money to her without double-checking with the
Traditional Council to ascertain the truth. How did Kumawuman come to owe her that
money without Saanahene, the Chief Cashier and Treasurer, knowing? Why did he not
call an emergency meeting of the Council when he had his own doubts but rather
yielded in to her pressures like a fool? Saanahene acted unilaterally so he should
stand accused of fraud himself.

To try to underestimate the intelligence of Kumawuman people the world over, because
Kumawuhemaa had said, "Kumawu citizens are uncivilized, bush people so to speak";
Saanahene came up with the following balance sheet in an attempt to justify how the
money was spent. I am writing without editing the Expenditure sheet as submitted in
defence of how the money was genuinely or otherwise spent.

EXPENSES ON Cedis 864,600,000

CHEQUES FROM STOOL LANDS

1. Loan paid to Kumawu Rural Bank = C 270,000,000
2. Loan from Nana Kumawuhemaa towards Barima's funeral = C 200,000,000
3. Miscellaneous expenses made by Nana Hemaa = C 150,000,000
4. Balance paid by Nana Aduanahene to "Owner Service" chairs, canopies and
mattresses etc. = C 57,000,000
5. Lost chairs and mattresses paid by Nana Aduanahene = C 15, 4000,000
6. T & T for Nana Aduanahene to Owner Service (two occasions) = C 500,000
7. Iron pipes = C 15,000,000
8. Air Condition = C 12,400,000
9. Balance paid to Mr. Boye Owusu (alias "Man no aba") on drinks for Barima's burial

10. Lawyer Pobee charges on Nana Aduanahene's case against Nana Krontihene and Nana
Hemaa = C 35,000,000 including VAT
11. Full payment to Iron Birds on goods supplied for palace new building = C 29,160,000

16. Last payment of Brochure by Mr. Ronnie = C 10,000,000
17. Hiring of cars for Barima's funeral for Aseda to various Amanhene = C 6,500,000

The C as shown against the amount of money quoted is Cedis. All the amounts are
quoted in Ghana Old Cedis.

Should Kumawuhemaa be paid her expenses incurred defending herself against the
charges brought against her as a person? She had acted irresponsibly, acted in
contravention to lay down traditions and customs. Having been sued in the capacity
of an individual trying to rob Kumawuman of her precious war booty dating over 300
years and also disrespecting the office of Aduanahene, should Kumawu State foot her
legal bills? If answered in the affirmative, who will be footing similar bills
incurred by the complainant, Nana Aduanahene?

Why is a whopping sum of Cedis 150,000,000 mentioned under miscellaneous expenses?
Could Nana Hemaa not tell what actually was/were purchased under the figure of
miscellaneous expenses? Why are Saanahene and Saamahene making a joke of themselves?
Do they think to be dealing with fools here?

Anyway, information in my possession indicates that Kumawuhemaa took 400 Million
Cedis from the sum, and then dashed to Toronto to purchase herself an expensive car.
Is she not depicting same Ghanaian stupid show off mentality of riches? Her brother,
Barima Asumadu Sakyi II had just passed yet, she desired to ride an expensive car –
"Asikafo3 car" Did she not hide the car in Accra when it did arrive in Ghana fearing
she would incur the wrath of Kumawuman people if she took it to Kumawu? Did she not
organise a big party in Accra around the same period? Oh poor callous lady of little
mind!

Finally, Kumawuhemaa is saying that she will give the throne to any Aduana royal
eligible to rule regardless which Aduana family he comes from on condition that the
person pays up all the expenses she has incurred fighting Nana Aduanahene, the
Ananangyas and the Odumases. She is kidding. Have I not warned her in one of my
previous articles not to spend money foolishly as she will surely lose the case?
Have I not warned her nobody will pay such expenses made in her selfish and greedy
quest to keep the throne for good?

Woe betides any Ananangya or Odumase royal that will seek to pay this woman any
money in the hope of getting enthroned. Woe betides the God's Chosen One if he pays
this queen even a farthing in an attempt to persuade her to allow him ascend the
throne. It will amount to not allowing God's plans and might to manifest if he does
pay the woman any money. Do you have to buy over your stolen property? Any Ankaase
royal who pays her does so at their peril.

Under the current information act, I stand to publish Kumawhemaa's defence
statements to Court without fear. I am no longer going to write on the Kumawuman
Chieftaincy issue but prior to implementing such new year resolutions, I have to
publish certain vital information able to enlighten Kumawuman citizens about why
this ongoing chieftaincy wrangling. Kumawuhemaa who is currently on visit to Canada
claims Asantehene permitted her trip to enjoy Christmas in Toronto. If the boyfriend
is doing her an act of favour, does it worth telling others? She is her own worst
enemy. She is the victim of her own diabolic plots. She keeps boasting saying,
"Asantehene is saying this, and Asantehene has said or done that"
