“Just Vote For Me Because You Are Suffering And Hungry”

The above statement is what the NPP is telling Ghanaians as we head into Election 2016. They want Ghanaians to vote for them because all NPP members are suffering and hungry. I want to put on record that the NPP in USA has banned the mention of the name “Nana Akufo-Addo” on all radio stations in the USA. They even went ahead and boycotted a radio station in Virginia because the presenter of a political show said it will be over his dead body for Nana Akufo-Addo to become the President of Ghana.
The NPP in USA boycotted the radio station not because the presenter said Nana Addo will not win the Presidency. They did so because the presenter just mentioned the name ‘Nana Akufo-Addo.” One week after their boycott, the NDC communicators went and told the world on that radio station, the difference between President John Mahamah’s State of the Nation address and that of the NPP. The NPP in USA not able to come on the show, went and pleaded with the CEO of that radio station for them to come back. You see the foolishness of the NPP that Hon. Kennedy Agyapong talked about?
In the USA, it is a taboo for anybody to mention the name “Nana Akufo-Addo” on any radio station, and if you mistakenly do so, you will be attacked and insulted from your hair to your toe. You see, the NPP is shielding Nana Aku-Addo, not because he is handsome or tall, but because they know he is very vulnerable and weak. As soon as they allow Nana Akufo-Addo’s name to be mentioned on radio stations, they know all the garbage about him would come out. Yet they want him to be our President.
This is why the NPP has adopted the slogan “Just vote for me because you are suffering and hungry” The funny thing about this slogan is that those who are preaching it live in places like East Legon in Accra, “Ahodwo” and “Da Nyame” in Kumasi and “Asikafoo Amba Ntem” (the rich people didn’t come early) at other places. They leave their mansions at these places and go to the radio and TV stations to say “we” are suffering so vote for me. When they go to their neighborhood at East Legon, Da Nyame etc, then they tell them the “dumsor dumsor” is too much and the prices of petrol is also too high. Meanwhile, we all know the living standards of people living at such places. They want to have it both ways because of cheap politics. They will stop at nothing to win power and then show you the difference between you and them. In the NDC, a school teacher can become a regional Minister. That is the power of equality.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the NPP started talking about “you are suffering” since January 7 2009, when President Atta-Mills was sworn-in. They have continued to say that into March 2015. Meanwhile, they have never thought of giving us any alternative solutions to how “you,” who is suffering will get out of your suffering. In other words, they lack the alternatives to get you out of your suffering. So if you are not an NPP member, how are you sure that if you vote for the NPP, you will get out of your sufferings? The NPP know deep inside their hearts that they are looking for power not because of you. If you make a mistake and bring the NPP to power, you will even be lucky to be considered a Ghanaian.
Fellow Ghanaians, if you are suffering, you want me to tell you how when I come to power, you will get out of the sufferings, right? You don’t want me to repeat it every day into your ears that you are suffering, right? If I tell you to just vote for me because you are suffering, I am in fact insulting you. So the NPP has been insulting Ghanaians since January 2009, and that is why they can’t come to power. You can’t continue to insult my intelligence and expect me to vote for you, right?
When you push the NPP further to give you alternatives, they start to mention President Kuffour’s achievements of School feeding program, National Health Insurance Scheme, and Metro Mass Transportation, as if President Kuffour will be on the ballot for Election 2016. They never mention any achievement of Nana Akufo-Addo. The excuse is that Nana Addo has not been a President yet. Do we need someone to become President before we can talk of his/her achievements? Meanwhile, all these achievements were met during President Kuffour’s second term in office. So why are the NPP forcing Ghanaians to believe that President John Mahama has failed in his 2 years of his first term? During the 2 years of President Kuffour’s first term, he was going all over the world negotiating for “HIPIC” but the NPP still see that as a good governance. They equate 8 years of Prez Kuffour to 2 years of Prez Mahama.
During the State of the Nation address by President John Dramani Mahama, Nana Akufo-Addo was seen on camera nodding his head positively when the President said the people of Kyebi now has clean and clear drinking water. There was also another picture on the social media showing Nana Akufo-Addo as a “sleeping man.” I would not call it “sleep.” He was in fact dazed. The people around Nana Addo are not telling him the true state of the nation and so when the President presented it with PowerPoint slides to show as “true” evidence, it dazed him. If you are dazed in Parliament with the “true” State of the Nation, why will you not sleep? Nana felt very good about the state of the nation no matter what the NPP are saying. People sleep in parliament when they hear good news. Nana Akufo-Addo is one of them.
My country men and women, the NPP people are saying just vote for them because you are suffering and hungry but they have not offered to you how they are going to fix your suffering and hunger. Don’t listen to them. Don’t even pay attention to them. It is never true that when you vote for them, all your sufferings will end immediately. They were in power for 8 years and we all saw what happened in Ghana. You might even be lucky to be considered a Ghanaian if the NPP comes to power. A leading member of their party, Yaw Osafo-Marfo, has told us that if you don’t come from regions with resources, you are not considered a Ghanaian to manage those resources. Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has told us that because of the foolishness of the NPP, they will stay in opposition forever. The General Secretary will not pay bills with cheques signed by the Treasurer. Need I tell you more? In all of these, Nana Akufo-Addo is silent. I am not doing politics here, but I can say on authority that due to the age and health of Nana, he is not effectively leading the NPP. If he is struggling to lead the NPP, I don’t see how he can lead Ghana in any way. Nana Akufo-Addo’s time to lead Ghana was in 1992 to 1996.
