NGO gives to Garden City Special School

Kumasi, Nov 16, GNA - Mr Emmanuel Adjei, Headmaster of the Garden City Special School in Kumasi, on Friday appealed to individuals and organisations to help construct teacher's quarters for the school to enhance teaching and learning there.

He said the lack of staff accommodation on campus made it impossible for the teachers to monitor the activities of the disabled pupils after classes thereby affecting their proper upbringing.

Mr Adjei made the appeal when the International Youth Organisation, a Kumasi based non-governmental organisation presented biscuits, toffees and pencils to the pupils of the school in the city.

Mr Adjei thanked the organisation for the gesture and appealed to other organisations to assist the school to properly train the pupils.

Mr Alhassan Rafik, Financial Director of the organisation, who presented the items said the organisation would continue to assist the school in whichever way it could to improve the welfare of the children.
