Emmanuel ‘Game Boy’ Tagoe (27-1, 13 KO’s) is one of the finest boxers in Ghana and there is no doubt about that.

The James-Town native who currently holds the IBO lightweight belt and the WBA international lightweight is ranked number 8 by the WBA in the lightweight.

Despite his performances many soccer pundits have raised concerns regarding the opponents he had faced.

The concerns raised by boxing loving fans are genuine because Tagoe has not fought the best ranked boxers in the world.

To become the best you have to face the best. The lightweight division is one of the hottest division in the sport now.

The likes of Richard Commey, Robert Easter Jr. Luke Campbell, Micky Garcia, Jorge Linares and Anthony Crolla are the best lightweight boxers we have currently.

If Tagoe want to rob shoulders with the aforementioned boxers then he has to start revising his note because those boxers are the best lightweight boxers we have now.

So for Tagoe to get labeled as the one of the best lightweight boxers now, his handlers, Baby Jet Promotions, must stop shielding him, they have to put him before the best boxers in the division.

And should he perform well against them he can then be regarded as one of the best boxers in the division, but for now he is not.
