Is This The Man You Want For President?

Down The Memory Lane

Analytical Desk Report
Coming events they say cast their shadows; and Ghanaians are discerning enough to have vouched to renew the mandate of His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, having delivered on their Better Ghana agenda as promised in their party manifesto.
In fact, one wonders why the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Mr. Williams Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo should be wasting his time, energy and financial resources in futile efforts of touring the entire country scouting for votes to become president; and in that process committing sacrilegious acts like the recent Damango episode of wetting walls of sacred mosque, when the signs are boldly written on the walls of Jericho that President Mills is a God chosen and will win the elections again, next year.
One would think that, with the barrage of accusations levelled against the NPP’s leader, particularly, on revelations captured in diplomatic cables as recently turned over by Mr. Julian Assenge’s whistle-blower website, the Wikileaks, which uncovered Nana Addo to be a notorious womanizer, who smokes wee heavily and wakes up with smog all over his head; and also against the backdrop of good works of the NDC administration, he should throw in a towel, but because Nana is desperate and wants power at all cost, he continues to disturb the peace of this nation with his “All Die Be Die” mantra and inciting Akans against other tribes as if that will make him President.
To be honest, the NPP flagbearer cannot be credited for leaving any good legacy in his several years as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Abuakwa South and a Minister of State, apart from the pains he had caused families and contributed perfectly to broken marriages.
Ironically, whiles President Mills’s image is soaring internationally for his exemplary leadership and bringing governance closer to the people of Ghana with transparency as his hallmark, the NPP leader on daily basis, is gaining notoriety for engaging in highly ridiculous acts, both internally and externally; and review of one such event was his visit to the United Kingdom (UK) some months back.
It would be recalled that, after Akufo-Addo had managed to send the likes of John Boadu and Sammy Awuku back home in their much publicized Germany trip in which Yaw Amfo-Kwakye was a key actor, to go and cool off in the UK, eventually ended in a salon belonging to one Tina at the Electric Avenue, Brixton: and this is the man that is seriously campaigning to become President.
Pretending to be a populist, the NPP leader in a group photograph with Tina and friends, decided to bury his head among them because he wants to become President and his would-be Chief of Staff, Yaw Amfo-Kwakye sees nothing wrong with it.
Back home to continue with his so-called listening tour in the Central Region, the selfsame Akufo-Addo, who has never hidden his strong affection for woman and does not mind to pay very superb tribute to the bottoms of dead women, repeated his UK know-how.
This time round, he did not bury his head among the women, but decided to eat with them when they have not made provisions for him, with all his focus on their breasts.
It is on record, that President Mills when the flagbearer of the NDC in opposition, conducted his retail campaign (door-to-door) without a single report of urinating on the walls of a Mosque or burying his head among women .
This and many qualities of His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills placed him far above his main opponent, Nana Akufo-Addo; and only God knows how many people’s marriages will be dissolved in the unlikely event the NPP leader is voted as President.
As Ghanaians are about to elect their leader next year, this write up is only to serve as a guide so they will make a very informed decision to avoid bringing the nation backwards, from her forward march.
