We'll visit Dagbon at the appropriate time -Gov't

Government says the President is in constant touch and very well briefed on the situation in Dagbon and would “at the appropriate time, visit the area to show the people his fatherly commiseration and concern”.

This is in response to the NDC Minority Group in Parliament’s call on President Kufuor to visit Yendi to commiserate with people over the Yendi crisis in which the Paramount Chief of Dagbon, Ya Na Yakubu Andani II was assassinated.

A statement signed by Information and Presidential Affairs Minister, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey said the minority is trying to create the impression that the President does not care about what is happening in the area.
