Healing the wounds; the only way for national growth and development

Having studied the African society carefully, I am undoubtedly speechless and if not completely flabbergasted with the dark nature and the deep wounds in the African society (Ghana to be precised).

I thought corruption reside with those in power but my interaction and campaign during my election has changed my disposition about the entirety of corruption. Questions rushed through my mind as I ponder over the wounds created among my people. I trembled and quivered tremendously with one thing in mind, "all the foundations of our nation is out of course".

The very principles that underlined nation building have collapsed. Excellence, commitment, hardworking, patriotism , experience, good policies are no longer considered in our culture." Everyone for himself, God for us all" is the order of the day .

The orientation of people is towards " money na hand cash na carry". What they will gain from leaders to be elected and how to support those that they can control to win elections is at crescendo in our societies.

Nepotism, religious segregation, ethnicity and tribalism is now a tool to lean on for victory. Very sad for the future of our country. I am weeping whiles writing this. The wounds are deep. We must heal it fellow students.

We have a nation to build , let us change our ways of doing things. You cannot speak against corruption in government when you are corrupt yourself .There is a popular adage that " little drops of water makes a mighty ocean". We are the root course of corruption fellow Ghanaians. Let's search our hearts and heal the wounds.

Ghana must revive . We must build an enviable nation and present to the world a beautiful nation that will be the beacon of hope and a home of exemplary leadership.

LONG LIVE GHANA!

LONG LIVE AFRICA!
