Goodwill Message To All Five Npp Presidential Aspirants

In the lead up to the epic contest of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries slated for Saturday 7th August, 2010, we the members of the Patriotic Youth Front (PYF), wish to send our heart felt and good will message, to all five able contenders, seeking to lead our noble party to victory in the 2012 general elections.

The historical and bold expansion of our party delegates, to elect the best candidate to lead the party in this epoch, is a vivid manifestation of our rich democratic credentials of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition, which has been the envy of many.

We are glad, however, all five aspirants have cress-crossed the country, to sell their core message to delegates, incident free without any form of vindictiveness, rancor and vituperation. This indeed, has energized and rejuvenated the grass-roots to take up the challenge of consolidating their efforts in restoring the party back to political power. It is a plus further, in the cup of our tradition and we sincerely thank all and sundry, be it aspirants, delegates and sympathizers of our party, for the level of maturity and discipline they have showcased over the past few months, and hope that will perpetuate into and after the elections.

We are also of the strong conviction, the discerning delegates, will do the party and Ghanaians good, by voting for a winnable candidate who is bold, decisive, visionary, unifier and more appealing to the generality of the Ghanaian people, and can wrestle back power from the treacherous National Democratic Congress (NDC) and bring back hope to the masses.

To this end, we respectful and humbly admonish the National Executives and the Election Committees to ensure fairness and transparency during the electioneering process, since fairness is essential or we cannot play ball at all, hence “winners and losers alike”, should join hands in unity and camaraderie to promote the tenets and ideals of our great tradition, to salvage Ghanaians from the bondage of economic and social injustice.
