Free Market Ideological Policies Violate Ghana Constitution

According to the Constitution of Ghana, which is the primary law of the land, our mission as a nation is the establishment of a just and free society:

34. (1) The Directive Principles of State Policy contained in this Chapter shall guide all citizens, Parliament, the President, the Judiciary, the Council of State, the Cabinet, political parties and other bodies and persons in applying or interpreting this Constitution or any other law and in taking and implementing any policy decisions, for the establishment of a just and free society. (CHAPTER SIX: THE DIRECTIVE PRINCIPLES OF STATE POLICY)

The law therefore requires that all policy decisions must satisfy the above to be lawful.

The policy goal of free market ideology is the establishment of an unjust and an unfree society. Free Market ideology also requires a trickle down wealth policy which is both unjust and unfree.

The NDC and NPP both believe in free market ideology. As a result, since 1992 all their policy acts have been informed by belief in an unjust and unfree ideology.

The Government of Ghana (Legislature, Executive and Judiciary) is therefore advancing policy decisions that are unconstitutional.
