Executive clash with Parliamentarians: JJ is No 9

Members of Parliament clash with the Executive (cabinet ministers etc) in a grudge football match in the top-most liner of the June four fun games at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, May 29.

A Statement issued in Accra on Wednesday, said team doctors are working feverishly on two strikers of the Executive - Nana Ato Dadzie and Alhaji Huudu Yahaya - who sustained injuries during training to be fit before the match.

Likely players for the Executive include Dan Abodakpi, Totobi Quarkyi, E. T. Mensah, Victor Gbeho, Kojo Yankah, Victor Selormey and Joshua Alabi. Reports say the president is likely to don the number nine jersey for the Executive.

Meanwhile, the final list of the Parliamentarians' team is yet to be made public. The Statement said the delay is to enable the team, being handled by Mr. Justice D. F. Annan, to choose an appropriate squad to counter the much-touted skills of the Executive.
