Examining Ghana and the United States within the limited confines of apprease in Adum-Banso

The 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald J Trump, declared his intentions and willingness to drain the Washington DC and globalist swamp during his 2016 presidential campaign. And true to his words, he is fighting to drain these swamps.

We have been fighting to drain the swamp for a very long time! Trump supporters fight intellectually and tactically to drain every swamp everywhere across the globe. Unlike others, they do not rely on subterfuge and propaganda to emotionally play on the feelings of the seemingly vulnerable in society, and I fully support their modus operandi.

When those who perpetuate wrongs cannot fight intellectually, they resort to character assassination, lies, name calling, propaganda, deceit, misinformation, overt and covert mudslinging (communist inferior tactics, which they now call insurance policy) to destroy successes and reputations built with sweat, toil and hard work.

Drawing lessons from the Trump example formed the basis of my epistle from Nananom in Adum-Banso’s Apprease in Ghana. Has there ever been a presidential candidate like Donald J Trump, who even some leaders in his own political party did not support? Some even refused to campaign for him during very charged and competitive elections. But he won the 2016 elections decisively. And even before winning the elections, there was an insurance policy put in place by the political elites, and some people perceived to have been compromised. Corruptible journalists and media houses even worked against his success. And when Trump won, this so-called insurance policy was immediately activated.

The lesson is that, in every country, including Ghana, with the right messaging, intents, unflinching love for country, showing concern for those in the bottom of the societal pyramid, and with clarity of purpose and goodwill, an election can be won, even without the support of political party elites. And even with all the state forces and machinery of a non performing leader and his government, vociferous journalists and media houses, working against a presidential ambition actively and aggressively to destroy it, the quest for leadership, once it is genuine, and responds to what the people crave for will always record success.

We can engage in comparative analysis because similar pathetic political scenarios appear to be playing out in Ghana too. The political landscape in the United States of America, seems to be intrinsically intertwined with that of Ghana, where the electoral or political survival of one particular party is pivoted or revolves around character assassinations, propaganda and deceit.
Isn’t it interesting and ironical, that in recent times some people who have greatly benefited from the United States’ greatness, those who migrated, and those who intend to migrate to the United States, questioning the call to “Make America Great Again (MAGA)?

In Ghana, the swamp dwellers some of whom have even benefited from free secondary school education are now vehemently opposed to it. John Dramani Mahama, the ex-president of Ghana is one of those championing this sad narrative.

There is also another similarity in the American and Ghanaian political trajectories. Both President Donald J Trump and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo promised their people, and they are delivering on their promises.

In Ghana today, the real perpetrators of crime against the people and country are journalists and media houses, unless someone gives me the evidence to proof otherwise. Peddling blatant lies and fear mongering is gaining roots as typified by the bogus Ofosu Ampofo tape in Ghana, which as it were, was meant to promote chaos, with the intend to destroy a country, an elected president, and his government. A similar trend prevails in the United States of America.

In the cherished age-old and irrefutable wisdom of Nananom, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) political party in Ghana and the Democratic political party in the United States of America appear to have many things in common. It was Bob Marley who once said that “you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all of the time”.

It is a truism, that the election of Donald J Trump as the 45th president of the United States of America has changed the international, domestic and geo-political dynamics. The world can take it or leave it. President Trump is very philosophical for which Washington DC and globalist swamp do not understand, just like Jesus Christ, who the naïve elites of his time did not understand him.

It is the hope of Nananom, that people in Ghana will pay attention, and use the story of the “sick and weary snake,” the presence of bludgeoned charlatans in the political space, to make informed decision with regard to the 2020 elections in the United States and Ghana.

The last time I checked, President Trump does not even take his salary. Apparently, he is even loosing so much in work and business revenue or earnings for being President of the United States. Be it as it may, the democratic hyenas are still, and always on the prowl to pounce on even the most ludicrous allegations against him, his person, or his government. The same is happening in Ghana, where the main opposition political party has been very reckless and irresponsible.

The fight is still on, and it is important drainers fight through the sweat, and drain every swamp everywhere across the globe. We need to chase out all the lazy and crazy baldheads, the parasitic swamp dwellers who think the only road to their insatiable quest for luxurious lifestyles is through the toil and suffering of the very people they claim to love and representing. They misuse scarce national resources like there is no future, especially in the case of Ghana, where oversight responsibilities constitute a major challenge to accountability and stewardship.

To President Donald J Trump and Nana Akufo-Addo - the assurance is that “your fighters and swamp drainers of Apprease in Adum-Banso, and supported by Nananom and the Nsuo Yaa shrine are solidly behind you. Your royal crown and place in history have been reserved and preserved for posterity.

To Donald Trump in particular, anytime you decide to visit Ghana as a follow up to complete what your wife Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States (FLOTUS) did, you are invited to Adum-Banso, where your name will remain indelible in our great ancestral Apprease shrine.

To the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo- your name and works have been laminated with solid gold, well kept, so that it will not be maligned and stolen by detractors who wish for nothing good but chaos and cheap politics. They have inundated the political space with falsehood and trivialities in your great country.
