Clear evidence of a troubling wave of electoral malpractice has emerged from the 2023 NPP presidential primaries in the North East Region of Ghana.
In broad daylight, vote rigging was perpetrated—casting a shadow over the democratic process and the integrity of the party’s primaries.
In the Bunkpurugu Constituency, during a meeting with NPP delegates on Wednesday, October 22, 2024, a delegate courageously walked up to Ken Ohene Agyapong while he was speaking, presenting undeniable proof that he voted for him.
Yet, shockingly, the official results recorded zero votes for Hon. Ken.
This was not an isolated incident.
In the Yagaba/Kubori Constituency, Ken was again listed with zero votes.
However, during a meeting with delegates on October 20, 2024, it was revealed that several delegates indeed cast their ballots in his favour.
The most disturbing case occurred in the Walewale Constituency, where public confessions confirmed that votes for Ken were deliberately discarded—once again resulting in a fraudulent zero tally.
This pattern of electoral theft was repeated across all constituencies in the North East Region, raising serious concerns about transparency, fairness, and accountability within the party’s electoral machinery.
Assurance to the Grassroots
We say: Never again.
The upcoming January 31st, 2026, NPP presidential primaries will be safeguarded with vigilance and integrity. The voice of the people will not be silenced. Every vote will be counted. Every delegate’s choice will be respected.
Ken Ohene Agyapong will rise—not merely as a candidate, but as the people’s choice to lead Ghana into a new era of industrialisation and progress as its next President.
