ECG Must Release a Timetable Now!

Light is an invaluable component of life. Among other things, light allows us to see our surroundings, regulates the body's physiology, and helps plants produce food. Show me a world without light, and I will show you the start of its spiral ending. Sadly, my country is in the dark and stumbling over numerous moral roadblocks.

Meanwhile, a body claims to be in charge of ensuring the stability of the light supply. I am referring to the ECG (Every Child of God). Yes, God has assigned ECG to be the light of the world (Matthew 5:14-16). Unfortunately, my country's ECG needs to be awakened from slumber. This is because we appear to have neglected our role.

As God's children, we can shine as lights by embodying Christ's character in our lives. Man was created to reflect the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27). But sin extinguished that light, leaving man groping helplessly in darkness. However, through Jesus Christ, God has reinstalled his power supply for all who open their doors to him.

The ECG, 'who' has accepted him, needs a timetable. The timetable is necessary to regulate our spiritual disciplines, which connect the light to the main power supply. Spiritual disciplines are biblical activities that help Christians build and develop Christlike characteristics.

In no particular order, these disciplines include prayer (1 Thes. 5:17), worship (Psa. 100:1-5), solitude (Lk. 5:16), Bible study (2 Tim. 2:15), confession (Jas. 5:16), stewardship (Matt. 25:14-30), journaling (2 Cor. 13:5), chastity (Phil. 4:8), evangelism (1 Pet. 3:15), gratitude (1 Thes. 5:18), rest (Lev. 25:4), serving (1 Pet. 4:10), fasting (Matt. 6:16-18), simplicity (1 Timothy 2:9), fellowship (Hebrews 10:24-25), meditation (Psalm 1:1-3), submission (Romans 12:1-2), guidance (Hebrews 13:7), and so on.

When we create and stick to a flexible schedule for the aforementioned activities, we will be able to keep our lights on. You can find a way to make them less monotonous and boring by getting creative with them. For instance, you can sit, stand or lie prostrate when praying. Furthermore, when serving others, you can occasionally go out of your way to serve them in unusual ways. Then, during Bible study, you can use a devotional guide or enroll in an online Bible course.

ECG, why not try to create a timetable for your own use? Is this something you cannot do? I definitely do not think so. You can do it. And you must do it if you wish to keep your light on.

If you wish to connect with a constant power supply, sign up for free: believe in Christ (Rom. 10:10), repent (Acts 2:38), confess (Rom. 10:10), be baptized (Acts 22:16; 1 Pet. 3:21), join His church (Acts 2:47), and walk in newness of life.

Enjoy the grace of God!
