Desperate For Development; A Determine Akufo-Addo

Nana Hesse Ogyiri

Desperation!

Desperation in itself is not evil; but it pays to question the motive behind the desperation and the ultimate purpose it is to achieve.

The NDC fanatics call Nana Akufo-Addo desperate and my simple answer to them is YES.
Nana Akufo-Addo must be desperate – looking at the level of mismanagement displayed by President John Mahama’s administration.

The future and strength of a nation depends on the strength of its youth.
What is the state of the Ghanaian youth?

Recently the Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Sammi Awuku, called for a "YOUTH REVOLUTION" and a couple of insecure people from the ruling NDC deliberately and conveniently inferred all sorts of diabolical meanings to it.
The Holy Bible says "A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children"
What inheritance is this President John Mahama led administration leaving for the Ghanaian youth?
President John Mahama after all the benefits as the most financially endowed government ever in the history of our independence, has borrowed over a whopping GH¢85bn after inheriting an accumulated debt of GH¢9.5bn since Ghana’s independence in 1957; to the extent that each Ghanaian owes about GH¢3,600; and he’s still borrowing! What and what do we have to show for it?

This current youth will be the next in line as leadership of the nation to pay these debts born out of unbridled lust for loans, sheer profligacy and wanton mismanagement.

An alarming reason why Nana Akufo-Addo needs to be desperate to save the youth and salvage the economic fortunes and lost glory of our motherland.

What is the state of the Ghanaian worker or the civil servants?
What is the state of the Ghanaian artisan or transport driver?
What is the state of the Ghanaian market woman?
What is the state of the Ghanaian who is Jobless?
What is the state of the Ghanaian pensioner?
If one is not desperate to see these problems solved, then he is the problem himself.
