Abubakari signs new contract with Feyenoord

Ghana youngster Mohammed Abubakari has signed a one-year contract extension with the Dutch side Feyenoord.

The deal keeps him with Feyenoord until June 2007.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Rotterdam side from their feeder club in Ghana, has impressed in his four months with the club.

"I have enjoyed my stay with the club and it feels great to have a contract extension," Abubakari told BBC Sport.

The Ghana under-20 player is expected to be part of coach Erwin Koeman's first-team squad next season.

He is the first player from the Feyenoord Fetteh Academy to have joined their mother-club in Holland
