Corruption in Amenfi East District

Dear Sir,
In August 2009, the DCE and the NDC constituency secretary of the Wasa
Amenfi East District in the Western Region collected GHC 60.00 from people
with the aim of providing meters for extension of electricity to their
homes. Soon after that the constituency secretary started buying cars. The
electrification project never took place until they put under severe
pressure. Now the project has started and is ongoing. However, it's
been confirmed that the project is Government sponsored and its therefore
free. When the news broke out, they have started refunding the GHC 60.00
back to the victims which I am one and have collected mine. Now, my question
is if these people used the money to purchase treasury bills or fix deposit
or used it in any form of transaction, how much profit would they have made
by now? This is because more than 5000 people in the District fell victim
to this unfortunate incidence.
Why is President Mills queit about this? Or, are these victims not part of
the people he "cares for" ? Or, has President Mills stopped the fight
against corruption? Some of us are very worried about these events. Reliable
sources allege that one "Guru" at the ministry of local Government (who is
from the area) is the brain behind all these. He is trying to prevent any
letter (about the DCE and his corrupt practises) from reaching the
president.
I would like you to conduct investigations into the above and bring the
matter to light so that these corrupt leaders might be brought to order.

Best regards
Augustine
