My soul is out of my lifeless body
I stand in sole "amazement" as my body is set ablaze

In unison they chant savagely
"spill his blood...burn him to ashes
He is a soldier "
My soul cries out
Crying out that they leave my body to be seen as it left home. I want my kids to see pictures of my remains.

My plea was unheard.
In relish and merriment they took my life.
I wept as the young man hit my head with a block.
My face beyond recognition
A "mother" set me on fire. She has kids too.

The man that took my pants looked into my damaged face as he did it.

Without a cut on my body I kissed my wife good bye
I walked out of the house without aid
Except when I held her waist in show of love
I return without my life.
Yes without my complexion.
Without my polish black eye brows
I am home now, not because I have ended my assignment but vile men cut short my life

They drained my blood
They slit my throat
They spilled my blood
My body is returned home.
What about my blood
My blood remain on the soils of Denkyira Obuasi
I seek justice. GET MY BLOOD OUT OF DENKYIRA OBUASI.

It's my way of getting justice
I didn't die in peace keeping
I wasn't killed by a stray bullet
I was viciously killed by civilians
My country men
My crime?
I AM A SOLDIER.
