the true Kumawu Ananangya/Odumase Royals
The spontaneous euphoria that engulfed, or reverberated around, Kumawuman when Kumawuhemaa was slapped with a High Court injunction and the Asantehene's Great Oath is steadily waning. The double whammy was to restrain her from imposing a candidate of her uncompromising choice on Kumawuman as the successor to the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II, the paramount chief of Kumawuman. That ray of hope of getting an Ananangya royal to ascend to the Kumawu paramount throne seems to be dimming out at an alarming rate. Is that train carrying the "torch of hope" grinding to a squeaky halt to the dismay of the majority of Kumawuman citizens? That currently seems to be the case. Their longing expectation for a dynamic, honest and selfless person from the real royal families, thus, Ananangya and Odumase, to ascend the Kumawu paramount Koduah Stool now seems very different.
I am once again going to give the Ananangyas/Odumases a wake-up talk. I am fuming at what appears to be their sloppy attitude towards ensuring their candidate gets enstooled as quickly as possible. They seem to be nodding off while at the wheels of that screeching train of hope. They are not as serious as one would expect of them in pursuit of wrestling their usurped throne from the possessively greedy Ankaase royals. More often than not have I published articles saying God has completed His work of handing the throne over to them. Do they read the published articles at all? Do they have access to the internet at all? I wonder why they cannot double-check my revelations from their own trusted sources to act accordingly. Should they expect God to spoon-feed them as it was in the days of the biblical manna era? Then they must be major jokers. Those "manna" days are gone to come back no more.
All should note that Asantehene has absolutely no jurisdiction over who becomes Kumawuhene. To make a virtue of necessity, to ensuring the effective cohesion of the loose Asante Confederacy, the Ananangyas/Odumases have opted to act stupid. This does not necessary mean they are actually fools, I should think. Kumawuhene has almost equal status and powers within that loose Asante Union as the Asantehene so Otumfuo Osei Tutu II should not overrate his authority. The entire initial five States that came together to form the Asante Confederacy for the purposes of unity and strength in conquering those they perceived, as their common enemies are almost very independent of each other. The attitude of any sitting Asantehene can help to solidify, either weaken or break up, the Union at any point in time.
If any of the States within the Asante Confederacy was compelled by the deplorable abrasive attitude of the Asante Overlord, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to quit or pull out, it will surely become a beckoning precedent although sour for others. When that happens, Otumfuo's powers will suffer corrosion and erosion. In addition, in less than no time, the shallowness of his power foundation will lay bare for all to see. He will be hanging loose in the air like the "Hanging Gardens of Babylon". Lies, dithering, underestimation of people's intelligence are all recipe for disaster. Asantehene is awash in all the listed ingredients for recipe when it comes to arbitrating the Kumawu chieftaincy case.
It is on record that he has/had intimate relationship with Kumawuhemaa, that great great great granddaughter of "Ayo". The Kumawuhemaa and her deceased brother Barima Asumadu Sakyi II have also given him miles upon miles square of Kumawuman lands free. He thinks to benefit more with the Ankaase royals still hanging around in the corridors of traditional power than having the Ananangyas/Odumases in. This allegation stands more chance of being true than false when his until now delay tactics is considered analytically.
The Ohemaa with her family has been boisterous with their unfettered declaration that the Kumawu chieftaincy case will linger on for years, with a minimum time limit of ten years set. By the ten year set period, both the leading Octogenarian disputants in the Ananangya/Odumase camp may be dead or too weak to continue to litigate.
The Ananangya/Odumase royal families in the first year of the passing of Barima Asumadu Sakyi II had a 99% point of the favourable opinion polled. It has now reduced to 75%. By ten years, it will have come to about 40%, thereby tipping the balance in favour of Asantehene and his girlfriend, Kumawuhemaa. Does this survey set off any alarm bells at the camp of the true royals? Will they continue to behave with their heads buried in the sand like ostriches while their immediate surrounding is set ablaze?
The Ananangyas/Odumases should crown the Chosen One of God from their camp now that Kumawuman is fully behind them. Once done, take him to show to Asantehene. Whether he appreciates it or not is his own cup of tea. He can never enstool or dethrone a Kumawuhene by virtue of the existing tenets of the Confederacy in relation to the independence of the initial foundation member States.
As the Soothsayer warned Julius Caesar to "beware the ides of March", so do I advise Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to be wary of his actions. His actions may trigger undesirable upheaval in the Kingdom same as it is happening in parts of the Arab world. The sleeping Ananangya/Odumase giants please wake up.
Lest I forget, Asantehene by way of exercising his right of "Ntamkese" has the right to poke his nose into the Kumawu chieftaincy case. By that, he can help to determine who the rightful owner of the Kumawu Kodua Stool is. However, is he ready to exercise this unique right, which he knows to tip unfavourably against his Sweetheart, Kumawuhemaa? "Asem be ba dabi"
