Anlo State Declare War on The Government

......Government Accused of kidnapping and killing a chief; and Ritual Murders in Anloland.

DECLARATION OF WAR OF TRUTH ON LIES (WOTOL) BY THE CLAN HEADS, CHIEFS, YOUTHS AND PEOPLE OF ANLO ON THE LIES OF PRESIDENT JOHN AGYEKUM KUFFOUR,S GOVERNMENT IN THE MATTER OF THE BRUTAL MURDER OF FOUR CITIZENS OF ANLO, MASS ARREST AND BRUTALIZATION OF SEVERAL HUNDREDS OF ANLO CITIZENS ON THURSDAY, 1ST NOVEMBER 2007, AND GROSS HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS AND PERSECUTION OF THE CHIEFS, ELDERS AND PEOPLE OF ANLO BY AGENTS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF JOHN AGYEKUM KUFOUR SINCE 2005.

DATED 6th January 2008

We the Clan Heads and Chiefs of Anlo, believing in the sanctity and might of truth over falsehood, and that good shall eventually triumph over evil, on this Sunday 6th January in the common era Two Thousand and Eight (2008), declared as follows:

1. The events of the bloody Thursday, 1st November 2007, in the history of Anlo are just a continuation of a war declared against Anlo by agents of President John Agyekum Kufour as far back as 1st November 2005 when, with the blessing of his government, hundreds of policemen and soldiers descended on us to assist Francis Nyonyo Agboada (aka Atitsogbi) to prosecute a war of attrition against Anlo under the guise of celebrating the Hogbetsotso festival, which the legitimate chiefs and elders of Anlo in their wisdom advised against. That act of bad faith, and events to follow later; harassment and malicious prosecution of the chiefs, beatings and assault of youths and elders opposed to them, desecration of our shrines by thugs and the police for the past three(3) years; the ritual murder of a teacher at Woe, ritual murders of two persons at Klikor, and the case of the missing Chief at Dosukofe also believed to have been killed for ritual purposes allegedly by agents and proxies of Kufour?s government employed in this war against the people of Anlo; the police cover ups and the refusal of the Kufour government to investigate these cases leaves us in no doubt who our adversaries are - President John Agyekum Kufour and his government.

2. Do we return fire in defense against an adversary clothed with the authority of the state of Ghana which would be disastrous for our dear country or sit down in passivity, defeated, humiliated and vilified, which would be cowardly.

3. What happened on the 1st of November 2007-the blood of sons of Anlo spilled by foreigners at the shrine of Agorwowonu-is a sacrilege that had never happened in the history of Anlo. The gods of Anlo have therefore declared a war to avenge this and we the living have no choice but to join them in the war to liberate Anlo from evil men and liars. ANLO IS THEREFORE AT WAR.

4. However, no weapon of violence shall be employed in this war. The only weapon of this war shall be the truth on which Anlo is built. THE WAR OF TRUTH ON LIES (WOTOL) is therefore declared against the lies of President John Agyekum Kufour?s government in the matter of the death of Israel Ahadzi, Menko Tugba, Israel Amenume and Mama Senyo and the gross human rights violations on Anlo since 1st November 2005 to date.

5. In furtherance of the War of Truth the following proclamations are passed by the High Command with immediate effect;

5.1 WOTOL PROCLAMATION 1

5.2 WOTOL PROCLAMATION 2

In furtherance of the War of Truth the following injunctions are passed and are to be adhered to strictly;

i. no chief of Anlo will co-operate with the Ghana Police Service in any investigations relating to the murders and events of 1st November 2007.

ii. no chief, elder, and youth of Anlo would honour any court process in respect of the on going cases of malicious prosecutions by the police on behalf of the state pending in the Anloga and Keta District courts before the events of 1st November 2007 and relating to causes, matters and acts pertaining to refusal to accept the authorirty of Seth Lumorvi as regent of Anlo.

ii. the illegal judicial bonds purportedly signed by the Awadada Togbi Awusu Agbesi and Togbi Gbordzor is immediately revoked and shall be ignored.

iv. to avoid any confrontation between Anlo and the state of Ghana we demand that the Attorney General and the Chief Justice take necessary steps to stop the malicious and judicial persecution of the people of Anlo.

v. the New Patriotic Party, its officials, agents and Presidential candidate shall not be welcome by any chief or citizen of Anlo to campaign in Anlo land in the fourth coming national elections except the NPP as the majority party in parliament and in government accede to our demands to set up an independent commission of enquiry to investigate the murders of 1st November 2007, and the various cases of human riot violations since Nov 2005.

6. We shall prosecute our War of Truth against the above named persons and the government of President John Agyekum Kufour in the courts of the land and any appropriate forum in the world, and through acts of civil disobedience of the government and the institutions of State when necessary till we find justice for Anlo. We therefore call on all citizens of Anlo to stand up and be counted; to contribute materially, financially and in kind to the war effort of Anlo.

7. We want all Ghanaians to take note that, our restraint to defend ourselves is an act of maturity and wisdom; not an act of cowardice as we do not lack men of courage to do so. Anlo is not defenseless as it might appear. There are legions of Anlowo and Ewes, in and outside Ghana, who have sought the protection of the Kaklaku War Stool of Anlo for fortification as soldiers and civilians who in turn have vowed to the Kaklaku War Stool of Anlo, and are therefore obliged at all times, to defend at the cost of their lives the Kaklaku War Stool and Anlo in times of adversity. The allegiance of these well fortified soldiers and civilians of the Kaklaku War Stool legion is first and foremost to the Kaklaku War Stool of Anlo. Nobody should force us to ask the gods of Anlo and our ancestors to intervene by delivering to us the living the key to the door of the hyenas.

8. We remind our enemies of the message of the gods of Anlo that vengeance is theirs and not for us the living. Our ?enemy in chief? can pretend and chose to be dearth, dumb and blind but the rest of Ghana is seeing, listening, and talking, and would continue to do so.

9. We the Clan Heads and Chiefs of Anlo therefore urge all citizens of Anlo to remain steadfast in our War of Truth. The Victory is ours.

A declaration of the Clan Heads, Chiefs, Youths and People of Anlo signed on their behalf by:

Signed: Togbi Agbesi Awusu II,

Awadada of Anlo for the Clan Heads and Chiefs
