Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong the sources of NPP leaks!!

For the first time in the history of the New Patriotic Party, under the Chairmanship of Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong, General Secretary, the minutes of a meeting held by the Steering Committee have not found their way into the rented press of the National Democratic Congress for publication.

As has become the norm, The Herald, Daily Post, Ghanaian Lens, Palaver et al, the next day after a steering committee meeting is held, publish minute-by-minute accounts of what transpire at the meeting.

In addition to this, whilst meetings of the Steering Committee are ongoing, presenters from some radio stations, specifically Adakabre Frimpong Manso of Neat FM, will be on air briefing his listeners on what is transpiring at the meeting. Social media platforms, especially Facebook and whatsapp accounts belonging to known sympathisers of Alan Kyerematen, will be inundated with posts about what is happening at Steering Committee.

Prior to the May 4, 2015 Steering Committee meeting called by the acting Chairman of the Party, Mr. Freddie Blay, a publication by the Daily Post Newspaper indicated that a meeting at the Steering Committee was to take place with Kwabena Agyepong and Paul Afoko being absent. Unsurprisingly, Radio Gold, the official radio station of the NDC, announced that a meeting was about to take place.

These developments were a constant source of worry by many sympathisers of the NPP, with many wondering if these leaks were being deliberately perpetrated by some National Officers of the Party, since they were the only ones present at the meeting.

However, this trend ceased today, Tuesday, 5th May, 2015. Apart from publishing the statement issued by John Boadu, the NPP's National Organiser, none of the rented press could publish the minute-by-minute account of what transpired at Steering Committee, as they have become accustomed to.

Were they unable to do so because their source(s) had changed their ways and would not leak any more information to the NDC? Or, perhaps, their sources were not present at the meeting. I am inclined to believe that the latter is the reason why the NDC did not have any insider information about the Steering Committee meeting because their sources were not present at the meeting.

The record, as stated by John Boadu indicated that 9 out of 13 Steering Committee members were present. These include: Mr. Freddie Blay, Mr. F.F. Anto, Nana Akufo-Addo, C.K. Tedam, Osei Kyei-Mensa-Bonsu, John Boadu, Sammy Awuku, Kamal-Deen Abdulai and Mr. Kwabena Abankwa Yeboah.

Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong, Sammy Crabbe and Otiko Afisa Djaba were the ones not present at the meeting. Would I therefore be far from the truth when I state on authority that either one or all 4 are responsible for leaking NPP information to the NDC on a constant basis?

On the day these 4 persons were not at Steering Committee, the NDC papers were unable to publish the details of the Steering Committee meeting. This, clearly, cannot be a matter of sheer coincidence. On the day Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong, Sammy Crabbe and Otiko Djaba were absent from steering committee, Adakabre Frimpong Manso could not tell his listeners what was going on at steering committee, whilst the meeting was ongoing. On the day these four persons were absent, Alan Kyerematen's social media commentators were silent on the details.

The meeting called by Freddie Blay has exposed the real saboteurs in the NPP, those who are leaking information to the NDC because of monetary inducements being received from within the NDC, and the agenda they want to pursue in 2020 because of the deal struck with John Mahama.

When Paul Afoko gets back to town and calls for a Steering Committee meeting, you can trust that blow-by-blow accounts of it will be published in the papers of the NDC's rented press the following day.

Look no further, members of the great elephant Family, than at Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong, Sammy Crabbe and Otiko Djaba. These are the people we need to weed out of the NPP, if we are to have peace, focus on ridding Ghana from the corrupt-John Mahama NDC government, and bring prosperity to the masses of Ghanaians. Article 10 of the NPP's Constitution must and will work. #afokokwabenamustgo.
