Efya opens up on baby rumours

Ghanaian musical sensation, Efya, born Jane Awindor has opened up on rumours that went around in the last quarter of 2019 claiming she was pregnant.

According to the songstress, she was not pregnant and has not even given birth.

Speaking in an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Ayekoo After Drive with DJ Advicer, she said, "I was not pregnant the baby was my sister’s and not mine.

She noted that the post of the baby girl on social media was meant to celebrate her birth but it was misinterpreted by Ghanaians.

Some news portals last year reported that the ‘Queen of Vocals’ had given birth to a baby girl based on a post seen on her Twitter.

Efya posted cute photos of a baby girl with the caption: “Welcome Darling I love you.”

And the media run with it, announcing Efya had a baby girl.

Her fans and followers reacted to the news with most wondering when she even got pregnant.

Efya is currently promoting her new single titled ‘The One’ which features Nigerian superstar, Tiwa Savage.
