Long ago, in a little town called Agovoudou, near the evergreen banks of Lake Gbaga in Togo lived two friends, Kekeli and Senam. They were inseparable.

They ate, played and hunted together. They were admired by the townsfolk because their friendship had stood the test of time. Nobody had been able to break the bond they shared.

One hot afternoon, these young boys decided to go for a swim in Lake Gbaga. The lake which was not far from the township was a popular spot for the young boys and girls to play, swim and chase the birds that flew ashore.

Kekeli cycled while Senam rolled his car tyre along with a stick. They giggled as they chased lizards and squirrels along the line of mango trees that led to the famous and beautiful crystal clear lake.

On reaching the bank, Senam quickly took off his shirt and dived into the lake. Kekeli joined him after he placed his bike under a shady tree, a few metres away. The two friends sang gleefully:

“…Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily life is but a stream.’’ “Tehehehe”

Anthonia Senam Fesu, a trained teacher from the Mount Mary College of Education, Somanya is set to unveil her first book targeted at children titled “Growing Footsteps” after the passing of the coronavirus pandemic. Growing Footsteps is a Non-Fiction children's classic adventure literature book which offers some sober reflections on our relationships in life as it relates to the common challenges that young people face while growing up. This will serve inspiration for the children of today.

Additionally, the author also observes that African Stories told by Africans are limited online and this lead to the publishing of the book which was written some 10 years ago after she participated in the celebration of the International Children’s Book Day in Ghana held at the then Ghana Library Board.

As part of the cover reveal, Anthonia Senam Fesu has made available a free PDF downloadable trailer available on her blog https://senamroyale.blogspot.com/p/shop.html for all especially children to have a feel of what to expect.
