Decemba2Rememba is an annual show about Ghana music which happens on Christmas eve.

With a host of stars including Kofi Kinaata, Okyeame Kwame, Kuami Eugene, Kidi, Fameye, Dope Nation, Adina and Krymi performing, it was a difficult task for a comedian to steal the show at a musical concert.

OB Amponsah is the one comedian who fears no territories.

The Ghanaian comedian who is also an optometrist started off his jokes on the night by digging in the popular and trending song of actress Emelia Brobbey, ‘Fameko’.

He then went on to talk about how Ghana gospel musicians ask questions in their songs like it’s an exam.

By this time, OB Amponsah had sent the audience in a state of ecstasy by laughing too hard. The comedian took a dig at Kofi Kinaata in a jovial way telling a story of how all his hit songs start with wailings.

OB Amponsah switched the theme from music to talk about how Ghanaians name their children compared to others.

He started of by citing a Bill Gates example, a man who now has the ‘bills’ (money). The optometrist then highlighted on how Steve Jobs has created jobs before asking if people knew the meaning of Mahama.

“Do you know the meaning of Mahama,” OB Amponsah asked the audience.

He later answered his own question say it meant “corruption” as the crowd burst into laughter with others being indifferent.

Knowing his joke could strike a few nerves, he stressed it was a joke and made another joke out of the joke.

“It’s a joke, please. By now some NDC person is here saying this guy is not funny. When he came in I thought he was from his initial jokes but look at this, he’s not funny at all,” OB Amponsah said as the crowd laughed the more.

Aside from the comedy, the show saw all the artiste booked to perform give their best on the night to entertain.
