A replica of the attire won by the President of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo at this year's Independence Day parade in Tamale has been put on exhibition at the MAGIC Show USA, the largest fashion and apparel sourcing event in the world.

The attire, a white long sleeve laced shirt with customized Ghanaian flag batch was part of apparels put up on display at this year's MAGIC Show by Harmony Trends, a burgeoning Afrocentric clothing brand from Ghana. According to the CEO of Harmony Trends, Mr. Mahama Yussif, the President’s shirt drew a lot of attention especially when visiting guests got wind of that. The MAGIC is a fashion tradeshow in the United States.

Held twice a year (February and August) in Las Vegas, it is a fashion marketplace that showcases men's, women's and children's apparel, footwear, accessories, and manufacturing resources from around the world.

This year's show had world brands like Zara, Habour, Rod and Gunn, Armani Exchange, Abercrombie and Fitch, Diesel, HnM, Banana Republic, Hermès and many more. Mr. Mahama Yussif who was at this year's show to showcase his brand said the opportunity to be at MAGIC is a huge plus for his brand especially when global demand for Afrocentric clothing is increasing.

He added that his Afrocentric clothing pieces are timeless and catching up with today’s trendy fashion world and therefore generated a lot of interest and attracted guests. He also confirmed that Harmony Trends will also be engaging in private label manufacturing for other brands that showed interest in HT products.

He said talks are also currently underway with other shops and foreign boutiques owners who expressed interest in HT products at exhibition.

This year's MAGIC Show took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, USA from August 11th to 14th, 2019.

Harmony Trends is located at Spintex, Ghana.
