The just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards saw a dramatic scene between Amakye Dede and Kuami Eugene. Hope you all remember when Amakye Dede crowned Kuami Eugene as upcoming Ghana’s High life king.

It’s in the light of what happened at the VGMAs night as explained above that music enthusiasts in Ghana are pissed off at the action and inaction of legendary Amakye Dede.

Some Ghanaians who have added their voice to the issue have questioned what actually informed Amakye to crown Kuami Eugene who’s just 2 years in the game as Highlife king.

Besides, Amakye Dede himself isn’t regarded as Highlife king in Ghana so what wrong? How possible for a non king maker to crown someone a king?

Additionally, there are a lot of better Highlife musicians in Ghana with whom Eugene can’t compete in terms of quality music.
