Last night, Accra style and fashion influencers and media mavens attended an ultra-exclusive tasting and music pairing of Ballantine’s, the No. 1 Scotch whisky in Europe at Nuage, the rooftop lounge at Suncity Hotel.

Guests including media personality, Efia Odo, Editor-In-Chief of Debonair Afrik, Nuel Bans, fashion stylist Larley Lartey, and Managing Director of Multi-Media Group, Santokh Singh were led by Sarah Haman, Brand Manager of Premium Brands for Pernod Ricard West Africa through a unique experience of pairing Ballantine’s with different music selections, played by DJ Mz Orstin.

“Sound has been known to change the perception of our mood and it is same with our sense of taste. By playing different music while sampling Ballantine’s we learned that our perception can be altered by the sounds we hear and enhance the way we enjoy and experience scotch whiskies,” shared Haman, who oversees Premium Brands such as Martell, Chivas and Jameson for West Africa at Pernod Ricard, the global spirits distribution company.

During the tasting event, guests were also able to preview the Accra episode of the Boiler Room x Ballantine’s True Music Africa documentary in advance of the upcoming True Music Africa Tour, which will feature a killer line-up of Ghana’s most exciting, independent artists including Kwesi Arthur, La Meme Gang, Amaarae, Iphone DJ, Vision DJ and DJ Mic Smith on the 23rd of March 2019. The show will be broadcast live globally online via www.truemusic.boilerroom.tv.

Ballantine’s is committed to supporting and celebrating uncompromising artists who do it ‘their way’ through the True Music platform, a partnership with Boiler Room which champions artists around the world with a perseverant spirit and challenges them to continue pushing boundaries.
