Citi FM? Joins Accra?s Radio

Although CITI FM, the latest to join the capital?s private radio stations has been making waves on air, it was officially outdoored last Friday at the station?s premises at Adabraka, Accra.

The ceremony which was a cocktail affair saw top government officials including, Hon Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister for Communications, Mr Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Minister for Tourism and Modernisation of Capital City, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe, GFA Chairman, Hon Felix Owusu-Adjepong, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs diplomats, press men, friends of the media and staff of CITI FM Station coming together to interact.

Hon Albert Kan-Dapaah who was also the chairman for the occasion was full of praise for the Chief Executive Officer of West Africa Gold Fields Limited and founder of CITI FM Mr Nik Amarteifio for his investment and vision in creating employment and educating the public through the electronic media.

He said to celebrate the entry of another FM station, it is a firm expectation that the freedoms provided under the constitution as it relates to the media and all other aspects of society will continue to be respected and further hopes that the media will engage in a more vigorous self-censorship and continue to highlight issues that unite us and push us forward.

Mr Samuel Atta-Mensah, Managing Director of CITI FM station said the aim of the station is to provide innovative, competitive broadcasting and informative products through quality service, extensive research and product management coupled with a commitment to ensure financial viability.
