Chief Charles, CEO of Asumde.com has opined that Nigerian audience, at events, sometimes have the mentality of villagers.

His comment was an address to the unfavourable response to Ghanaian artistes by the audience at the Zylofon Media and Menzgold Nigeria Launch Concert.

According to him, the bias displayed by the audience portrays the attitude of village dwellers.

He failed to retract his statement as he unapologetically stated, “the whites don’t need to understand your language before jamming to your songs, but if Nigerians don’t know you, they don’t enjoy your performance.

Chief Charles further stated that it is high time music moved beyond rivalry, hence, the “Nigerian Mentality” should be eradicated.

He also mentioned that, though Nigerian artistes have received wide acceptance in Ghana, it is not so in Nigeria to Ghanaian artistes.

“We hail their artistes when they come to Ghana but they can’t do same for us, which is sad”, he added.
