I'm hoping to break boundaries with 'Gimme Love' - Mr Drew

Although he missed out on the ultimate prize of the MTN Hitmaker in 2017, Mr. Drew is optimistic his latest hit single "Gimme Love" will dethrone some of the trending songs for him to hit the limelight.

Signed to the Kaywa's Highly Spiritual record label, Mr. Drew released his first song 'Gimme Love', a testament to his awesome music talent.

Mr Drew in an exclusive interview with Ghanaweb.com said the song is simply about professing love to an object of interest and that interpretation is not limited to “a woman”.

According to him, the definition can be extended to “a favourite shirt of yours” or even food for that matter.

However, his object of interest in the song just happens to be a woman. The hitmaker contestant is nevertheless not keen on pushing that same meaning on anyone who listens to the song.

His aim is to spread the song’s meaning wide and across every sphere of interest so that no one is left behind in trying to fit into a specific definition.

“It’s a highlife song, so I’m hoping to break boundaries with it,” he said without stuttering.



Mr Drew born Andrew Otoo began as a dancer before moving into the music world. According to him he switched to music because he discovered there was a great future for him in the music industry.

Mr. Drew is currently promoting his debut single ‘Gimme Love’ which was produced by music engineer Kaywa.
