President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has been tagged “King Promise” by his political opponents. This is due to his continuous seeming unrealistic promises to the people of Ghana.

In the voice of the members of the various political opposition parties especially National Democratic Congress (NDC), President Nana Addo has failed to fulfil most of his promises he made during the 2016 campaign.

Since there is a musician in the country who bears that name, 'King Promise',some entertainment enthusiasts were of the view that the name given to the president will have an adverse effect on the brand of the "CCTV" hitmaker.

But reacting to the fact that the president is called “King Promise” the ‘Selfish’ hitmaker indicated that he has no problem with it.

He stated that he’s rather elated to know the first gentleman of the land bears his name.

He said, “I laugh about it all the time, it’s a plus when people are calling the president with your name, it is cool, I will accept it like that, I don’t have any problem about it, absolutely nothing”, King Promise stated in an interview with Accra-based Class FM.

He further indicated that there is the need for investment in the creative arts industry. This he stressed would make it more lucrative for the masses.
“We need a lot of support in the art industry, we need more money, more funding.

Build centres like workshops where people can learn how to write music or play any kind of instrument. He should also invest in the art industry to train Ghanaian artistes in order to compete with the high-level, with other people.”
