Kidi details why Musicians must stick to one genre

Highlife Artiste Dennis Nana Dwamena popularly known as Kidi says it is advisable to stick to one genre of music as an artiste .

He believes that sticking to one genre of music gives an artiste the identity he or she deserves.

According to the Lynx Entertainment signee, it is wrong to do different genre of music at the same time.

He added that some of the artistes doing different genres of music confuse their fans the type of artiste they are and what genre they can be identified with.

"I am a Highlife artiste and anyone can relate to me but some artistes are doing different genres of music and are not focused on what they are good at" he said

"I see everything wrong with Musicians doing Highlife, Dancehall or Hip Hop at the same time. If you are a Highlife artiste, do Highlife and if you are a Hip Hop artiste, do Hip hop and not Dancehall," he added

The 'Odo' hit maker was very appreciative of his management , Lynx Entertainment spearheaded by Musician ,Artiste and Talent manager Richie Mensah. He was grateful his management nurtured his talent well and brought him to the spotlight. Last year was a great year for Kidi as he recorded hit songs like Say you love me , Odo , Timeless et al. His great works earned him 6 nominations at the just ended vodafone Ghana Music Awards of which he won the award for the highlife song of the year.

"I always say that talent alone is not enough but once you have the right management behind you to give you what you need , you will surely make it in no time," he said.

He is currently out with a banger dubbed 'Adiepena' which is receiving massive airplay. He assured fans of upcoming projects and he sees greater things this year and beyond.

"This year is going to be a busy one for me. There are a lot of collaborations with some of the A-list artistes in Ghana and I want Ghanaians to expect the best from me" he added.

Kidi won the MTN Hitmaker reality show season 4 in 2015 and after came out with hot singles such as Never Again, Drunk etc.

In 2016 he dropped another single titled 'Bleed' .

He shot to fame in 2017 after he came out with hot singles'Say you love me' and 'Odo' which handed him a collaboration with international artistes such as Davido and Mayorkun.
