Even if I don't win at VGMAs, being nominated is an honour – Samini

Samini Samini

Sensational reggae and dancehall artiste, Samini says he would not be disappointed if he does not win an award at the VGMAs, as he been nominated gives him enough satisfaction.

In the chat with host, Sammy Flex on Showbiz Agenda on Zylofon 102.1 FM, the “Linda” hitmaker revealed that nominations are enough recognition of the efforts he puts into his work.

As regards what he has been up to, following the release of his recent hit single, “My Own”. Samini also announced that his annual concert, dubbed “Saminifest”, will come off this year after its one year break.

“Last year we could not hold Saminifest because I wanted to release an album first. However, I call on all my fans to expect the concert this year”, he promised.

The dancehall sensation has been nominated for three categories in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for his track ‘My own’, namely, Record of the year, Songwriter of the year and Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year.

This, according to him, is an honor to his brand, even if he does not win the award.
