Volta Music Awards: Agbeshie, Kasare, Keeny Ice, Edem, others win big

Volta regional capital, Ho on Saturday 10th March, 2018 hosted the maiden edition of the Volta Music Awards.

The scheme and event put together by Eventic GH in collaboration with Volta regional branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana took place at the Ho Technical University auditorium with over thousands in attendance.

Hiplife artiste, Agbeshie was crowned “Artiste of the year” with “Gomene” hitmaker, Kasare and Mo’shes Musik Hiphop artiste, Keeny Ice also winning three awards each. Hiplife artiste artiste, Zygee who won “Discovery of the year” also walked away with 15,000 Ghana cedis recording deal from prolific music producer, Brainy Beatz.

Musicologist and the first Musigha President of the Volta regional branch, Torgbe Edinam Klomah Ansah was also celebrated with a “Lifetime achievement awards” for his enormous contribution towards the development of music in the region.

The night also gave “Excellence awards” to multiple awards winning artiste, Edem, publicists and brand managers, Elorm Beenie and Jonilar respectively for their kind and honest contribution towards the rapid growth of creative arts in the region.

Zylofon cash,a subsidiary of Zylofon media through its Head of communications, Samuel Atuobi Baah gave a cash prize of 1000 Ghana cedis to “Artiste of the year” to enable him subscribe to the content monetization platform.

Audience were treated with amazing performances by Kels De Poet,Belce,Faffa,Mama peace,Fiamor,Jah phinga,Keeny ice,Kula, Chief One,Loyce Entertainment, Israel Nanevi Maweta Enamily,Agbeshie,Selorm Razy and Sinichi who performed the VMAs theme song.

Kukor Lumor,Elorm Sefe and Dj Ricky Augustine properly coordinated the show to the satisfaction of the majority.
